Answer:	The splint is about 1-in wide and 8-in long, in slight L-shape or boomerang. The splint is fairly thin....maybe about 2-3 mm. I am not sure what the material is, but it is pretty flexible where I can rotate my ankle if I want. It gives enough support to keep my ankle from having the feeling of it slipping. I am a petite female with size 6 shoes, after fitting on the brace, the support is from middle of my arch to about 3 inches above ankle.

Answer:	yes. It doesn’t limit moving your foot up and down much. It’s more to keep your ankle from rolling (which thankfully hasn’t happened in the three years we’ve been using them). It takes some getting use to (feel in shoe) but they are real good braces.

Answer:	Singles but usable on either foot. I ordered a couple of spares as the side foam panel can come unglued.

Answer:	Yes, this would be good for protection after a sprain. Make sure you put the footplate under the insole of your shoe. You may also notice a little rubbing with extreme side-to-side motion but just wear a thicker sock under it if you do. I personally think this brace is ideal for use in sports activities.

Answer:	I use this while playing volleyball. Never used it for running. But I think that once your foot gets used to it, running with the brace should be fine. Nowdays while I play volleyball , I dont even notice that I am wearing the brace. One thing that I can say is that if your running shoes are a tight fit on your feet, then wearing the brace will make it an even tighter fit. So might have to loosen the laces or but a wider width shoe.

Answer:	I don’t really know. I bought this for my 14yr old son who wears a size 11 tennis shoe, and it was too tight for him. I wear a ladies 9 1/2 tennis shoe, and it was very snug but wearable for me.
