Answer:	This Aircast needs to be used and can only be used as Cold Therapy treatment. It provides compression only when it is filled with the chilled water. For me I do get relief of pain once the aircast is filled with the iced water.

Answer:	These would not fit a child. They would not even stay on my toes and I am adult. They stretch out when you put them on and then slid off. Are not strong enough to stay on. Answer:	the shoulder strap has the under-the-armpit portion, which helps keep the neutral arm position better. YMMV, however. I preferred that extra stability over the typical over-the-shoulder-only version. it can also offload some of the pressure on the shoulder and neck muscle that the main belt is resting on. It did cause a bit of pressure on rare occasions. But overall, I found it to be beneficial.
