Answer:	At its thickest, about 4-5mm (.160 in.). This is in the area of the plastic insert that provides support, including the thickness of stocking and velcro. Could be worn under socks.

Open all hook fasteners and slide foot into the stabilizer. Loop the top strap through the buckle, pull and secure it. Fit should feel firm, yet comfortable.

The front reads ACE, the back has Velcro fasteners, the quarter circle shape side will fasten, then pull the Velcro strap toward front to hold in place. These Velcro fasteners need to be open to allow your foot to slide through. To fit properly, you will need to separate bottom Velcro , then place your foot through opening, then reattach bottom Velcro to fit your foot distance from ankle comfortably

Answer:	Good luck. I wear ladies size 7 double wide and have a deep arch. Technically, my foot is the size of a ladies 8 with the toes cut off. I wear the small. So I would say the average lady could wear a small. A lady with larger than an 8 might need a medium. You might also try the black version (different brand) you can buy over the counter at KMart. More cloth-like and look like a regular sock. A bit looser fit, but they compress too. Amazon is great about returns. So take your best guess and if it doesn't fit, return it (less postage).
