ProCare Plantar Fasciitis Splints:

ProCare is a reputable brand that produces a range of medical supplies and equipment, including splints for various medical conditions. One of their notable products is the ProCare Plantar Fasciitis Splint, which is designed to provide support and relief for individuals suffering from plantar fasciitis. Here's what you need to know about these splints:

  1. Purpose: ProCare Plantar Fasciitis Splints are primarily designed to help alleviate the pain and discomfort associated with plantar fasciitis. Plantar fasciitis is a common foot condition characterized by inflammation of the plantar fascia, a ligament that connects the heel to the toes. The splint is intended to provide support and gentle stretching of the plantar fascia during sleep or periods of rest.

  2. Design: These splints are typically designed to be worn on the affected foot during the night or when resting. They often consist of a padded, rigid or semi-rigid shell that holds the foot and ankle in a dorsiflexed position (toes pointing upward). This position helps maintain a gentle stretch on the plantar fascia.

  3. Adjustability: ProCare Plantar Fasciitis Splints are often adjustable to accommodate different foot sizes and comfort preferences. They usually have straps or closures that allow you to customize the fit according to your needs.

  4. Comfort: Many users find these splints comfortable to wear during sleep or rest, as they are padded and often have soft inner linings to reduce irritation.

  5. Use Instructions: It's essential to follow the manufacturer's instructions when using these splints. Typically, they are recommended for overnight use or during periods of prolonged rest to help prevent morning foot pain associated with plantar fasciitis.

  6. Benefits: The primary benefit of using ProCare Plantar Fasciitis Splints is that they can help reduce the tension on the plantar fascia, which can lead to decreased pain and discomfort in the morning and throughout the day. They are a non-invasive and conservative treatment option for plantar fasciitis.

  7. Medical Guidance: Before using any medical device, including plantar fasciitis splints, it's advisable to consult with a healthcare professional or a podiatrist. They can provide guidance on the appropriate use of the splint and whether it's suitable for your specific condition.

In summary, ProCare Plantar Fasciitis Splints are designed to provide support and relief for individuals dealing with plantar fasciitis. These splints are adjustable, comfortable, and intended for use during sleep or periods of rest to alleviate foot pain associated with this common condition. However, it's crucial to seek medical advice before using any medical device to ensure it is appropriate for your specific situation.

User questions & answers

Question: What is the size chart on these boots
Answer: I purchased 3 pairs, all have item # 79-81107. Also same number on box for the old pair.
Question: I wear a woman's 10-10.5 so I bought the large. It feels huge. Is the medium any shorter than the larger? How high/tall does it go on the calf
Answer: I've ordered this item many times over many years. It's always been the genuine name brand item. Except one time - I saw a special where they were advertised for much cheaper (less than $10/pair). I ordered a bunch, and 8 weeks later got a bag of cheap off-brand inserts shipped from China. Every time I paid full price (varies from $30-37), I got the official name brand product. It's printed on the cups, and on the box. These are amazing. It's like walking on clouds. They last me about 4-6 months per pair.
Question: What are the differences between the Dorsiwedge and Prowedge models? Can't seem to find that and curious why one is half the price of the other
Answer: 3/8" under your heel tapering down toward arch. about another 3/8 wrapping the heel. They were too wide for women's dress shoes - better suited to males.
Question: does it have a piece to keep your foot from rolling outward
Answer: I'm sorry. I ended up not being able to wear them. They are very soft and I needed heel elevation.

Question: Are these true procare brand inserts? several reviews say they are not actual procare inserts but an imitation
Answer: I doubt it but I can’t say for sure.
Question: How thick are these? I'm looking for half insoles to provide a little heel lift as I have low ankle bones that don't work in many men's dress shoes
Answer: It will hold it but cup holder twists around on bar on Rollator. Small cup works better.
Question: Will these cups stop heel slippage
Answer: I used mine on the handle bar on my knee scooter. Was very handy. Using on a bed rail would depend on how big circumference of it is. Hope this helped.
