Answer:	Kids/youth helmets are usually up to 55cm, after that it's considered adult size. Many times the design of the helmet may be geared for kids, and one other thing to consider, "kids" helmets still have a different goggle opening.

Answer:	these are NOT DOT approved. These are meant for snow sports and the like. Much like a bicycle helmet. This is not something you would want for UTV/ATV use.

Answer:	The sizing has recently been changed to XS, S, and M. Several years ago, maybe 4 years ago, the sizing use to be XS/S fitting 48-52 cm, and M/L fitting 52.5-55 cm. So basically the XS/S, and S are the exact same size, it's just one helmet is several years old, and has the old sizing.
