Answer:	This brace was for my partner who has bad night clenching on his right wrist. This is his response: I have a skinny wrist and slender hand, and if I fully put my hand into this brace as shown in the product picture, my hand can still clench but at least my wrist won't flex with it. What I do instead is lower my hand's position a bit further down the brace so that the base of my fingers are hugging the bean-bag. This keeps my fingers and my wrist straight. This has eased a TON of tension in my wrist and has eased a lot of the discomfort/inflammation I've had. Sleeping with this on has been uncomfortable at first, but you get used to it.

Answer:	There is no spine on this brace, just a contoured (removable) plate along the bottom and two semi flexible stays in the sides. The top is where it comes together and is connected by a very stretchy material. The Velcro straps, a short one on each end and the main wrap around one in the middle, are what brings it together. It is very good at stabilizing your wrist, but not immobilizing it, your hand will still have about fifteen degrees of movement upward.

Answer:	No it is not leather at all. It is a fabric with inserts for support. It also runs a bit small around the arm for anyone without skinny arms. I liked it at first as it was lightweight, however the part of the brace was hard at the base of the thumb and began to cause a problem of pressure on the nerve at the base of my thumb. I had to quit wearing them...I had two of them. So it is best if you look for braces that have a soft cloth texture at the base of the thumb. Its bad enough having carpal tunnel without adding to it with more pain.

I have worn it to type on a keyboard during the day; it does keep your wrist from bending; and the piece on your palm is bent inward so your hand stays straight. The only issue I have is writing while wearing it, as it is on my writing hand, that can be awkward, so I try not to write when I have it on.
