Question:	Does this fit a larger wrist? How long is it
Answer:	No it will not fit a larger wrist, unless you wrap it so tight that it could be uncomfortable. My wrist measures about 7.5 inches. I need only thumb stabilization so I want a loose fit. I cannot attach the inner velcro (about half an inch wide and 8inches from the wrist edge) unless I make it too tight to wear. Also the second, outer piece of velcro is about 7 inches further along on a wide elastic meant to secure around the wrist. This does not fit around me either unless I stretch the elastic quite tight. I can attach the velcro to the body of the brace, however, it is not as secure as the vertical velcro strip. I doubt this arrangement would be adherent very long, however I only need the brace another few weeks, so am hoping for the best.
Question:	Do you wear it to bed or just during the day
Answer:	I wear it all the time, except when doing something where it would get wet. I think it really depends on how bad your problem is. Mine is bad so always works for me. If you are not sure, try wearing it only while you sleep. If that works for you, Great. If not, then extend the time into the day.

Answer:	I'm not sure of the material but it's very breathable and comfortable. I wear it at night with ease.

Answer:	It wasn't bad. Quality was good but I need to keep my thumb from moving and this just help stabilize it. At first, it appeared to help but after a couple of weeks it wasn't doing the job. Depending on what your need is, this may or may not work. To totally stabilize the thumb, I would not recommend it. I purchased a different one Arrow Splints Thumb Brace | for Arthritis, Trigger Thumb, Carpal Tunnel, Thumb Stabilizer, Tendonitis, Sprain - Thumb Spica Splint is Reversible to fit Right & Left Hand Thumb Splint + Thumb Exerciser which was almost $20 and worth it!. Much better stabilization and it came up higher on the thumb.

Answer:	Hi! Yes, I have worn it many many many nights while sleeping. In fact, I just spend 3 months wearing it all the time, except when bathing. It made a major difference, was not uncomfortable at all. In fact, just this minute returned from the doctor and he has given me the complete "green light", meaning my damaged ligament is 100% healed now and I no longer have to wear the brace at all. Answer:	Not neoprene or rubber. More of a strong flexible cloth.

Answer:	If you do dirty work, I put a large size disposable rubber glove over the futuro stabilizer to work on the roof. Then I put a regular cloth work glove over that to do yard work. It gave me support and didn't dirty the glove or my hand. The stabilizer works better than I thought it would.
Question:	how do I determine the size to order
Answer:	Interesting. The pictures provided the measurements when I purchased mine. I did a search for the same product, small/medium is 5.0" - 6.5" wrist circumference. I cannot find the same ad I viewed with the measurements for L/XL. When I decided to try this stabilizer, I tried on the glove at my local drug store. I chose the L/XL for the fit. The price was actually a bit lower as well at the drug store. Live and learn. The widest part of my palm is 3 1/2 ", just to give you a size guide. My wrist is approximately 7". Drug stores carry this usually in the sports bandages section. I'd seriously suggest you try it on there, and then if the price is better, buy it here. I do like mine. It's easy on and easy off. It helps with my osteoarthritis pain in my thumb.

It could be that it just needs a good cleaning. String, lint and other materials get trapped on the hook and loop surfaces, clogging them up so they don’t mesh together.

Start by picking out any pieces you see stuck to the material. Then you can gently clean the loop side with something soft but firm, like a toothbrush. This will help make the loops stand up more if they have become flattened. You could add warm water and a mild detergent to the toothbrush head and scrub the hook side as well.

These steps should help with better adhesion. If not, the hook and loop material may be old or damaged, and may need to be replaced.

How long can I wear my support for?

The length of time is really personal preference.

A general recommendation would be that you wear a brace or support during activity and for an hour or two afterwards. If you feel better wearing it longer, that is fine as well.

Can I wear my support when I am sleeping?

Our supports are designed to be worn during the day only. They should not be worn overnight, therefore you should remove it prior to going to bed. Answer:	Hi, don't know if this will help you. It's my husband that wears these supports. He too has arthritis throughout his hand, carpal tunnel, chronic tennis elbow combined with shoulder problems. He's 65 and has worked as a mechanic for 50 years. He started developing severe pain about 4 to 5 years ago. He's been through cortisone shots galore but he still experienced hand (especially in the thumb/wrist area). The pain was worst when he used his high power air tools. I suggested wearing a support and found these at Amazon. I got one for him and he was so happy with it that he now has six of them (so he still has a couple when the rest are in the wash). He has told me that he has gotten considerable relief, even when using the air tools. He believes it is specifically because of the support he gets through the thumb/wrist area. I am not a doctor so cannot really comment if it will work for you when lifting weights. My only suggestion might be to purchase one (they're not that expensive) and see how it works for you. Answer:	No problems at all with using mouse or typing. I tried several and it was the only one that allowed ease of movement and still held my "trigger" thumb stable. I have not noticed any sweating at all. One word of caution, however, I have small hands and have always worn small gloves, but when I ordered this in small, it was too small. I sent it back and got the medium which is perfect.

You should be able to wear either size, but if your hand is slender, then you may want the XS, but if your hand is larger, then I would go with the size small. Question:	you indicate that the aluminum stays are removable. How does one remove them
Answer:	Mason, thanks for your question and there is a casing that the stay is in and the fabric end is not sewn together so you should be able to pull out the stay with your fingers or else you could use a tweezer or needle nosed pliers if your fingers aren't able to grip the end of the stay. Question:	Does it stop your thumb from moving completely
Answer:	The occupational therapist who fit me for this brace said to wear it at night. I found it bothered me, so I'll only wear it at night if my thumb joint is aching. Usually I wear it fir a week or 2, until the joint inflammation goes down. Then put it away for a while. Gardening is a killer for that joint, so I expect to wear it a lot more as spring continues.
Question:	Can I knit while wearing this brace ? I’m having pain in my right hand at base of thumb
Answer:	Unfortunately, replacement straps are not available. The straps are the component of the Push MetaGrip that will first show signs of wear. There are several factors that impact the longevity and durability of the straps:1. Over-tightening the straps will cause the straps to stretch-out over time and weaken the hook and loop closure. 2. Frequent application and removal of the Push MetaGrip increases strap fatigue.3. Keeping the straps clean and free of debris prolongs the strap life. Note: The Push MetaGrip can be machine washed, gentle cycle, cold water with mild detergents. We suggest placing the Push MetaGrip in a small mesh bag prior to machine washing. NEVER place the Push MetaGrip into clothes dryer or dishwasher. 4. Heavy and/or repetitive resistive activities while wearing the Push MetaGrip increases stress on the straps.5. Question:	what is the return policy
Answer:	The ones I have used do not do that, however it could be that your glove size is to large for your hand and the extra material in the glove is somehow causing a wrinkle effect. My hand is average size not large not small but again I have not experienced that with the Vive Art/Thumb Splint. Or lastly is it possible you have a defectively made glove splint??? Answer:	This keeps you thumb straight and you can not touch your palm with it on however I am able to touch the tips of my other fingers.
Question:	Am trying to compare the push metagrip with the similar comfort cool one. push seems to have holes in it. is this so and is it for breathability
Answer:	Yes, and the brace can be used on either hand (left and right hands use the same brace). The brace has a hard stay that runs from the end of the thumb to the basal joint and partially immobilizes the thumb, but you are still able to grasp things lightly with the thumb and forefinger. Although hand usage is somewhat limited, there is no reason why braces could not be used on both hands. Mine brought me a lot of relief and is very comfortable. My doctor told me to use it every day for two weeks and then if pain subsided just use it as needed.

Sizing: Right or Left Hand

• Use a soft measuring tape to measure the circumference of your hand just below the knuckles of all fingers, excluding the thumb.
• Choose the appropriate size from the chart.

NOTE: This measurement is only a guideline for determining size, as it cannot take into account the size/shape of your thumb. If your measurement is near the size break point, only trying on both sizes can allow you to determine the best fit.

Push MetaGrip Contraindications

• Thumb CMC osteoarthritis which has progressed to significant subluxation with a “shoulder sign” will not allow the MetaGrip to fit properly.
• Those lacking normal muscle bulk of the thenar muscles may experience inadequate stabilization as normal thenar muscle mass is required for optimal fit & function.
