Answer:	Short answer: The hose size is 1 1/2 inches for the inside diameter on each end. Long answer: Hose size actually measures almost 1 9/16 inches for the inside diameter on each end. Attachments are 1 1/2 inches OUTSIDE diameter and they fit inside the hose ends. Rubbermaid does not list hose or attachment sizes anywhere in the paperwork, so I had to measure it myself. My guess is that they do not want owners to buy attachments that are not made by Rubbermaid. They use one 1/16 inch narrow alignment slot rib to keep tools in place on the hose. Ironically, a web search for the hose size shows several retailers listing 1 1/4 inch hose size and I am not sure how they came up with this measurement.

Answer:	Not that I could tell. The top is made of a very sturdy/hard plastic however so if you buy a wall mount from a Home Depot or Loews type place it certainly could be 'hangable'.

Answer:	There is no lid with this container. The top is open. It might be of interest, the unit is about 13-1/2 inches from the floor to the very top. I have placed this on top of a small step stool so it is a bit higher in the kitchen. The one I replaced with this was more like 20 inches and held more volume. Although, this one works fine for me.

Answer:	i notice that the shipping weight shown in the manufacturer's stats area on the page shows 22+ lbs. Can there be that much diff, over 40%, if the vacuum only weighs 10-11 lbs loaded on your back and the shipping is 22+ lbs? I'd think it'd weigh more than two packages of flour, or 1.25 gallons of water. I suppose at the minimum, for weight sake, you could decide not to have any of the tools carried on-board. When using for the primary reason the only extra tools to leave off would be the three plastic tools: crevice, upholstery and dusting brush. That's not much relief. I appreciate Rachel's offer to estimate the weight. However, everyone's back issues are different therefore manifest pain differently across people and across uses, judging the impact of weight by someone who may have a much better means of physically coping with a significantly heavier than 10lb backpack style machine who declares that her experience was that "after (using it) an hour at a time without pain", my confidence in this unit being less than 11 lbs is shaken. She could be right on the money with her estimate, especially if almost all the non-motor parts are made with light weight plastic. I wanted to offer cautionary food for thought for those who are purchasing this unit based on her well-intended offer of an estimate.

From the outer edge of each lip front to back is closer to 9 and 3/4 inches. INTERIOR dimensions from handle to handle: 11 and 1/2 inches. INTERIOR dimensions front to back: 8 inches. As you can see from the picture, it's a bit narrower at the bottom. These are the EXTERIOR dimensions at the bottom: Right to left (between the handles) I measured 8 and 1/2 inches. Front to back I measured just a tad short of 7 inches. This is as specific as I could get. Based upon my measurements (and I was careful) it appears that Rubbermaid provides measurements that are accurate, not precise. This receptacle DOES specifically accommodate the standard plastic grocery bags - anything smaller will be a problem. Of course you can go with a larger bag as long as you don't mind the excess hanging over the edge. It works for me and they are durable - I purchased four. I hope this helps. Regards, Donna.
