Answer:	About a year according to the package, I've only had mine a few mos., but it works perfectly in my little humidor (50 stick capacity). Keeps it at a constant 72 percent. You can't go wrong from what I can tell.

Answer:	Yes, the Drymista tubes only control the humidity, so you will need to season the humidor before use and don't forget to calibrate your hygrometer .

The Drymistat Is Easy To Use, Simply Follow these (5) Steps:

Step 1: Some water evaporation may have occurred while DRYMISTAT was sitting on the store shelf.

Step 2: Break perforated safety seal on caps. Remove solid cap from tube and discard it.

Step 3: Install the perforated Cap on the Tube.

Step 4: While holding the tube vertically, tap it on a hard surface to force the crystals downward.

Step 5: If the crystals are above the ‘Fill Line’ start using it right away. (If below, follow Refilling instructions)

Refilling the Drymistat

When the crystals fall below the 'Fill Line’ (and are above the ‘Time to Add Water Line’), it’s time to add water. Remove the perforated cap. Stand vertically and add water to the 'Fill Line'. Put the perforated cap back on the tube. Wait 3 to 5 minutes for the Crystals to re-absorb the water and swell to fill the balance of the space in the tube.

Plain tap water won’t hurt this unit. You can also use distilled water. Drymistat can use any water you feel comfortable enough to drink.

Place Drymistat tube(s) inside container next to cigar(s)

Position the Drymistat near the middle of the humidor between two cigars. If your humidor is large, or you filled it with lots of cigars, or you merely don’t want to be bothered to fill Drymistat as frequently; you can use more than one. Make sure you have spaced them evenly throughout your humidor. Liquid will not leak onto your cigars regardless of where they’re placed. Allow a few days to achieve a stable 68% to 72% relative humidity.

Answer:	While I don't have a video for you you want to season the humidor with the solution a couple times before putting cigars in it. Damp a cloth with solution wipe inside down good. Close and 24 hours later repeat. After couple days by daye 3 to 4 your box is ready. Place some in the enclosed container to keep moist in box.

Answer:	The propylene glycol actually stops the humidity levels at 70% ... it's the liquid they use in smoke machines and e-cigs so it's (relatively) safe. Using PG vs. distilled water in the mold point is a non-contest. Don't use tap water and make sure your not putting most cigars in your humidor and keep it at or under 72% humidity and you should be able to use either or confidently. PG has the no worry bennifit ... you can fill your humidifier and not worry about your cigars getting moldy from the humidity at least.

Answer:	I've seen mixed discussions on this. Some say it doesn't matter, others convinced it does. For a good compromise, consider using distilled water for 3 months between the PG/H2O fill ups. Good luck.

Answer:	I check mine weekly and typically about every 2 weeks I see the humidity start to drop. So I add solution then. This has worked 100% better than anything I have tried prior. I also live in Las Vegas very low humidity and my AC runs almost all day during the summer. We will see if this improves as we hit the cooler times and the AC doesn’t run as much.

Answer:	The unit will turn back on, but do check on it to make sure your readings are correct (temp, humidity) and/or return to proper, recommended levels if power is off for awhile. If you're using wi-fi to phone app to monitor, you'll definitely need to reset that – connectivity, never great, will be lost when power source is interrupted! It's a great unit even without the handy app.

Question:	Should I get the Excel or plus for my 2.5 cubic feet Whynter cigar cooler humidor
Answer:	I purchased the Excel 3.0 for my NewAir 300H humidor and it wasn't powerful enough to recover quickly from even a quick access of less than a minute to grab a single stick out of a drawer. The humidity would "eventually" recover back from under 60% to the 65%-67% range I prefer after about 90 minutes. I have since moved the Excel into my smaller NewAir CC-100H which it seems to be able to handle much better. I recently purchased the PLUS 3.0 model for my larger 300H and am expecting delivery tomorrow. Hopefully the higher output from the PLUS reservoir will provide for a faster recovery time? We shall see.
