Question:	How do you use this lighter? i did not get a user manual. i must be dense, i can't get the striker to move. i filled it with butane. cap is up
Answer:	It uses flint (like in a zippo) and metal to strike the smark, which pretty fool-proof. I used to use a Colibri which created an electric spark. That system doesn't work all the time. My experience is that this lighter is more simple and works every time.

Question:	Is there a butane fuel you can recommend. I have had trouble in the past with refilling and butane leaking as refilling
Answer:	The first thing I would do is to slightly turn the adjustment screw and see if that fixes the problem. Occasionally the needle and seat valve is just a bit "Off". Generally, however, a wildly flickering, or pulsing, flame means that that there is a bunch of air in the fuel tank. Hold the lighter upright and gently depress the fill valve with the poker from a Czech pipe tool until all the air and fuel are released. You may have to do this a few times in order to empty the tank. Also, there can often be a lot of air in the tank that you can't hear coming out unless you hold the lighter close to your ear as you empty the last bit out. Using a can of butane from a reputable source (Lucienne, Xikar, Colibri etc.) fill the tank. Repeat the emptying process. This will completely evacuate the tank. Refill again and your lighter should be fine. If it still pulses, there may be something wrong with the lighter, although that is rare. The "Flush and fill" process described above needs to be done occasionally as the fuel bottles use cmpressed air along with the compressed butane to fill hte lighter and since air doesn't burn, it stays in the tank and accumulates over time.

Answer:	Move the striking wheel from the front (fire producing end) towards the back. If you are looking straight down at the nozzle, the wheel has to be rotated in a clockwise direction. If you look at the picture of the lighter, the striker wheel is directly below the cap over the nozzle. If it still won't turn, remove the flint spring (it's the little screw at the end of the cap) and empty out any flint fragments. Then insert a new flint, re-insert the spring, tighten the spring down, and it should work.
