How to Launder with our Swimwear Cleaner

Fill your bathroom sink or a plastic tub with cool tap water. Add one squirt of Swimwear Cleaner to the water for each garment you add, and swish the water to mix it in. (Don’t worry if you don’t see many bubbles — that’s completely normal.) Add your swimwear to the water and rub gently. Allow to soak for 30 minutes, swirling the water to encourage the cleaner to reach deep into the fibers of your garment to pull out sand, oils, and chlorine odors. Rinse your swimwear thoroughly in cool tap water. Voila! Aside from that smile and the tan lines, it’s like beach day never happened.

Helpful Swimsuit Care Tip:

Do not ever wring your swimsuit! Instead, lay the swimwear front down on a thick towel. Starting at the bottom of the suit, roll the towel up into a sausage and squeeze it like you mean it! Lay the suit flat to finish drying, or grab some clothespins to let the swimwear line dry in a cool shaded location.

Swimsuit Tips

Sunscreen, chlorine, tanning oils, and sand all damage the delicate fibers of your swimwear. Improper laundering makes this damage even worse. Here are some tips to extend the life of your swimsuit:

• Always handwash swimwear. Washing machines can tangle, stretch, and warp your suit.

• Choose neutral, gentle detergents like SWIM, that are powerful enough to lift out dirt, sand, and oils, but is easy on the fabric itself, protecting elasticity and color.

• Line dry or dry flat on a towel in the shade. Never wring a suit.

Eliminate Odors

Odors in our swimwear are typically caused by one or several factors — bacteria, mildew, and chemicals (such as chlorine). Bacteria gets into our swimwear from the environment, and the water. When the bacteria is allowed to sit in the fabric, mold and mildew begins to grow, leading to that musty ‘swamp’ smell. Between that and the chlorine, a damp suit in a dark, warm gym bag is a recipe for tough odors.

Answer:	The SWIM™ detergent is a different formulation geared towards gently cleaning their swimwear. It can be used for athletic apparel as well however it is not quite equipped with the same punch as the All Sport for the bacteria in super stinky athletic-wear, so better suited for swimwear, which is typically not smelly and sweaty but needing to be gently cleansed. It is a nice product to have in the laundry room as a gentle wash for delicate items as well. All of our products are very versatile, SWIM™ included. It also has a gentle natural fragrance of salty air and sandy toes and hints of coconut.

Answer:	Yes, that is a great question! This product would be perfect for hand washing all fabrics and does well in cold water washes.

Answer:	From my wife who purchased this swimsuit: Personally, I nursed two babies and this would have been uncomfortable to wear while doing so. It does unzip but it is stiff to hold its shape, you might find that a top that lifts up more easily is better - a top with less shape, more flow to it. Hope that helps. Answer:	I am not sure . It would take to much of detergent to wash a load in washer . I wash and soak mine in sink.

Answer:	Splash essentially works like a slat water pool except in reverse. Salt water pools work by turning salt into chlorine. Splash in effect turns chlorine back into salt that actually helps to soften the water and increasing cleaning action and soil removal. Common salt is actually chemically known as Sodium Chloride (NA CL). The actual amount of salt produced is minimal and will not affect the fabric.Splash's gentle cleansers also remove ocean water salt residue by dissolving it and allowing it to rinse it out. Unlike the chlorine the salt does not change chemical state.I hope that helps.

Answer:	i don't know if it actually removes chlorine or if it just neutralizes the scent...Also, I haven't used it to wash a neoprene wet suit (only "traditional" swimwear such as bathing suits and rash guards)...I am very satisfied with the product because it does reduce the chlorine odor and is gentle on bathing suit fabric...

Answer:	I didn't count but I could guess at about 20 - 25. It's an 8 oz bottle. 2 capfuls is about 1/4 oz ????

Answer:	Supposedly used in place of washing. I washed my suit after soaking anyway. It does seem to remove 90% of the chlorine smell.

Answer:	The instructions on the container say after soaking you sould rinse the suit. I always do to get the chlorine out.

Answer:	The instructions say to run sink full of water-then add a squirt of Suit Saver. Swiss your suit and let it soak a few minutes. The only time to use regular detergent on your swim suit is if it is dirty. Use Suit Saver than hang your suit to dry. Detergent reduces the life of your swimsuit colors and elasticity.
Question:	Would this work on a silk blanket that says dry clean
Answer:	It does not go into your hot tub. After you get out, fill a sink half-full of cool water to which a squirt of Suit-Saver has bee added. Soak your wet suit in the sink, then rinse with cool water and hang to dry.
Question:	Has anyone tried using this product on clothing marked "Dry-Clean Only"? How were the results
Answer:	I use a capful of this solution in a basin and then run my bathing suit thru a rinse and spin cycle on my washing machine. That being said most bathing suit tags say "handwash only". Also this solution may cause color changes in items that arent colorfast. Finally I would just wash your towels like you normally do and not use this solution on them.

Answer:	It's a blending of herbal and citrus notes of rich amber, bergamot, lavender and musk.

Answer:	Mixed reviews on this detergent. Some say that this detergent has protease that will break down silk the longer you wash with it, but some say it’s effective for silk items. I’d rather err in the side of caution than ruin a good silk fabric to experiment whether it works or not.
Question:	Will this wash chlorine out of bathing suits
Answer:	Yes! I use this to wash lined, "dry clean only" dresses. I place them in a mesh bag and use the delicate cycle with cold water. I also use it to wash panty hose. I bought a pack of different sized mesh laundry bags and now wash all of my hand wash and dry clean only clothing in the washer in these mesh laundry bags with this detergent. It saves me huge amounts of time and money.

Answer:	It does not have an added fragrance, but does have an ammonia-like smell to it. Since you only use a small squirt for each tub of water, it is hardly noticeable.
