3 best mold remover for tile
Mold removers for tiles are cleaning products specifically formulated to eliminate and prevent mold and mildew growth on tile surfaces. These products are commonly used in bathrooms and other areas where moisture and humidity create conditions favorable for mold development. Here are some general characteristics and features associated with mold removers for tiles:
Active Ingredients:
- Mold removers typically contain active ingredients that are effective in killing and removing mold and mildew. Common ingredients include bleach, hydrogen peroxide, or antimicrobial agents.
Sprays and Foams:
- Mold removers often come in spray or foam formulations for easy application on vertical surfaces like shower walls and tiles. The spray allows for targeted application, while foams can cling to surfaces for longer contact time.
Non-Abrasive Formulas:
- To protect the integrity of tile surfaces, most mold removers are formulated to be non-abrasive. This helps prevent damage to the tiles while effectively removing mold stains.
Stain Removal:
- Mold removers not only kill mold but also help to remove the stains left behind by mold and mildew. This is crucial for restoring the appearance of tiles.
Preventive Properties:
- Some mold removers have preventive properties, creating a protective barrier that inhibits future mold growth. This is particularly important in areas prone to humidity.
Safety Considerations:
- Many mold removers contain strong chemicals, so it's important to follow safety guidelines provided on the product label. Adequate ventilation and protective gear, such as gloves and goggles, may be recommended during use.
Application Instructions:
- Each mold remover product may have specific instructions for application. It's essential to follow these instructions carefully for optimal results.
Surface Compatibility:
- While most mold removers are designed for use on tile surfaces, it's important to check product labels to ensure compatibility with the specific type of tile in your bathroom or household.
As product formulations and brands can change, it's recommended to read product labels and reviews to choose a mold remover that suits your needs and preferences. Keep in mind that safety precautions and usage instructions may vary between products.

User questions & answers
Question: | Can this be used to clean the mold in the washing machine |
Answer: | Good Afternoon. RMR-86 should not be used on anything metal, as it is corrosive. RMR-141 could be used to clean the area and kill the mold, but will not remove the stains. If you have any further questions, feel free to call 866-822-8744 or email [email protected] |
Question: | Would this work on a memory foam mattress |
Answer: | I wouldn't recommend using any liquid period on a memory foam mattress. Moisture can ruin the foam and not just aestheticly. Think about a kitchen sponge, it never fully recovers to original form once wet and gets worse over time....that's essentially what you're doing to your bed. |
Question: | My cleaning lady likes to use bleach to clean - is this an effective alternative? Thanks |
Answer: | The active ingredient in liquid bleach is sodium hypochlorite. The active ingredient in this product is sodium hypochlorite, so it's the same thing, not an alternative. I don't understand why people would pay $17 for 1/4 gallon of bleach and some added surfactant myself. I can buy 5 gallons of 12.5% sodium hypochlorite locally that is a day old or less (bleach degrades and weakens over time and is typically too weak to sanitize around the house about 90 days after it is bought off the store shelf per EPA standards). For the same $17 and have 20x as much, fresher and MUCH stronger than what this is for the same money because this product is probably about 5% or less sodium hypochlorite. I didn't see what percentage of active ingredient was in this product, and I'm assuming that is on purpose. |
Question: | Does this kill Black mold or does it just beach it |
Answer: | we had a bunch of black mold on one spot of our house when we moved it. Power washed it, bleached it, tried 30 second stuff and nothing. It just kept coming back. We got this and almost a year later it is still gone. It did take about 3 times spraying it but it was a huge and thick spot. We did not scrub at all due to how high the spot was |
