Answer:	This product will work removing organic matter, mostly mold and mildew, off a composite deck. If you have a newer deck with a plastic cap this is not the right product. I work for TimberTech. Let it soak in to the board , overnight if possible, the scrub and rinse before the sun hits the deck. Also hope all is well with your dog. (Side note, I prefer the non hose bottle of Wash Safe where you dilute yourself in a bucket, just my preference).

Helpful Tips for Best Results Cleaning Your Composite Deck

If this is the first time you have cleaned your deck it's possible that there are deep set mold stains that the solution didn't reach. These may rise to the surface and the mold stains would need to be cleaned again. This may happen once or twice after the initial cleaning. Once the initial cleaning phase is over, keep your composite decking looking good by diluting 4 parts water with 1 part Spray & Clean and spraying your deck every 60 days or so during the season. How to Clean Composite Decks Safely and Effectively Without Bleach

• Decide your dilution ratio mix of Spray & Clean with warm water (hot if possible)

Each gallon of Spray & Clean will clean 250 sq. ft. of decking but the product may be diluted in different ratios depending on the condition, age, time of last cleaning and brand of your decking. In extreme cases Spray & Clean should be used straight without dilution. For routine (maintenance type) cleaning Spray & Clean should be diluted 4:1 (4 parts water 1 part Spray & Clean, in that ratio 1 gallon of Spray & Clean would make 5 gallons of cleaning solution.

Wash Safe Spray & Clean Composite Deck Cleaner Application

• Saturate the stained deck - allowing the product to be absorbed by the decking. Stains will start to disappear on contact.
• Rinse the deck off with water when completed. Use of a pressure washer and/or scrub brush will assist in the cleaning process.
• Stubborn stains? Reapply and soak deck for 2 hours or overnight as needed

Answer:	In a sense yes. You apply the solution to the floor and use the scrubber pads, cleaning pads or buffing pads depending on the solution you are using. If you are using a more liquid solution and the scouring pads, or the cleaning pads you will need to wipe, or mop up the remaining liquid as this unit does not suck it up. However if you are using the buffer, the buffer pads do a good job of buffering and picking up the buffering solutions as those solutions tend to be less watery.

Answer:	This product comes in three sizes, as far as I know: 1/2 gallon, 3/4 gallon, and 1 gallon. The dilutions with water are all the same so be careful of the price!

Answer:	You can, but I would not advise doing so without a respirator with fresh air tank if you are planning on spraying it. This stuff is potentially dangerous at full strength and breathing it even when diluted would be hazardous. Danger is very much related to concentration with this product and it does not take a lot. The active ingredient is N-Dodecyl/tetradecyl-N, N-dimethyl benzyl ammonium chloride also referred to as Benzalkonium Chloride. If you do use it indoors please be certain of your math/calculations when diluting it and do not inhale any mist if sprayed. I am not the paranoid type. This is potent and must be handled with care.Also, as another responder pointed out. It does not rain inside, so you would see no removal of existing mold and stains with this product . It would only serve as a mold preventer. Even outside, the cleaning action is provided by the elements, namely rain and sun, the product simply kills the existing mold and prevents new mold growth.

Answer:	This product does not work the same way as car soap, although it can be used to wash a car. The chemistry is geared toward environmental pollutants, dirt and some road grime. It is not a degreaser, so if road tar, grease and oil are the issue using regular Simple Green All Purpose Cleaner or Simple Green Pro HD might be more effective.

Answer:	A car wash brush (broom) and a mop bucket works well for me and I have tried various cleaners on Vinyl siding to remove dirt and the gross green stuff typical in shaded areas. Just dip and brush it around 2-3X (repeat as needed), rinse with a low pressure hose. This method even works up on a ladder and preferred over a pressure washer because the strong blast of water can damage the surface.

Answer:	Not sure why your inquiry was forwarded to me, because we used the Krud Kutter Deck and Fence cleaner, which is designed for wood products. We noticed no appreciable odor from that product, either while using or afterwards. However, both the deck and our stockade fence are both outdoors, so there wouldn't be any possibility of an odor buildup. Sorry I can't help. Hope someone else can . . .
Question:	Referring to overspray, is this cleaner vegetable garden friendly? It states on the container that it won't harm plants
Answer:	not sure about veggies. we've cleaned our deck and stockade fences with it, and the overspray never harmed either the adjacent grass or evergreen shrubs. Since you'll want to be able to eat your veggies, a call to the manufacturer might be in order.
Question:	would this be a good product to use to pressure wash a house prior to painting
Answer:	Have used it on my house with good results. Sometimes you have to help it along with a hand-held brush on tough-to-clean areas. Having said that, my power washer is a smaller one and less powerful than a lot of bigger, more powerful machines. I'd be careful that the spray isn't angled so that it gets under clapboards or shingles, possibly wetting the insulation beneath.

To formulate this product, we had to use a small percentage of chlorine bleach (only 5%). The chlorine is transported into the pores of the composite decking by a special formula of surfactant chemicals, where it can remove the stains within the pores of the decking without scrubbing.

Helpful Tips for Best Results Cleaning Your Composite Deck

If this is the first time you have cleaned your deck it's possible that there are deep set mold stains that the solution didn't reach. These may rise to the surface and the mold stains would need to be cleaned again. This may happen once or twice after the initial cleaning. Once the initial cleaning phase is over, keep your composite decking looking good by diluting 4 parts water with 1 part Spray & Clean and spraying your deck every 60 days or so during the season. Spraying your deck an hour or two before an oncoming rain storm is a perfect way to rinse your deck naturally.

How to Clean Composite Decks Safely and Effectively Without Bleach

• Decide your dilution ratio mix of Spray & Clean with warm water (hot if possible)

Each gallon of Spray & Clean will clean 250 sq. ft. of decking but the product may be diluted in different ratios depending on the condition, age, time of last cleaning and brand of your decking. In extreme cases Spray & Clean should be used straight without dilution. For routine (maintenance type) cleaning Spray & Clean should be diluted 4:1 (4 parts water 1 part Spray & Clean, in that ratio 1 gallon of Spray & Clean would make 5 gallons of cleaning solution.

Wash Safe Spray & Clean Composite Deck Cleaner Application

• Saturate the stained deck - allowing the product to be absorbed by the decking. Stains will start to disappear on contact.
• Rinse the deck off with water when completed. Use of a pressure washer and/or scrub brush will assist in the cleaning process.
• Stubborn stains? Reapply and soak deck for 2 hours or overnight as needed

• Don't apply the product in direct sunlight and do not let solution sit in deliberate sun.

Answer:	Hi NOLA Shopper! Oh my goodness! That sounds gnarly! We would not see a problem removing the blood stains, our product should make easy work of cleaning the deck boards. We would recommend using the product at a lower dilution ratio, like 1:1 or 1:2 - even full strength spraying on the blood stains after wetting the deck boards. Work the cleaner into the boards with the deck brush provided. The deck brush in our kit will work well in getting the blood loose of the boards. Answer:	I wouldn't recommend using any liquid period on a memory foam mattress. Moisture can ruin the foam and not just aestheticly. Think about a kitchen sponge, it never fully recovers to original form once wet and gets worse over time....that's essentially what you're doing to your bed.
Question:	My cleaning lady likes to use bleach to clean - is this an effective alternative? Thanks
Answer:	The active ingredient in liquid bleach is sodium hypochlorite. The active ingredient in this product is sodium hypochlorite, so it's the same thing, not an alternative. I don't understand why people would pay $17 for 1/4 gallon of bleach and some added surfactant myself. I can buy 5 gallons of 12.5% sodium hypochlorite locally that is a day old or less (bleach degrades and weakens over time and is typically too weak to sanitize around the house about 90 days after it is bought off the store shelf per EPA standards). For the same $17 and have 20x as much, fresher and MUCH stronger than what this is for the same money because this product is probably about 5% or less sodium hypochlorite. I didn't see what percentage of active ingredient was in this product, and I'm assuming that is on purpose.

Answer:	we had a bunch of black mold on one spot of our house when we moved it. Power washed it, bleached it, tried 30 second stuff and nothing. It just kept coming back. We got this and almost a year later it is still gone. It did take about 3 times spraying it but it was a huge and thick spot. We did not scrub at all due to how high the spot was
