Answer:	Good question! I live on Catalina and discovered Best Buy has NO problem shipping Alkaline or Lithium batteries. While there were reports that lithium batteries caught fire and were therefore dangerous, they have since been made much safer than they were. The new regulations were to be restrictions based on over 100 watt hour batteries and intended only for bulk shipments, not individual consumer products such as laptops or tablets. This did not however stop UPS or FedEx from refusing such shipments for some time. I suspect this was due to lack of understanding of their own regulations, staff training and education on their part. Instead they choose to blame shippers for preventing them from shipping simple products, Amazon included. For some time after passing that new regulation, I had to have tablets shipped to the mainland, then at great expense shipped to me from there or brought over by boat which made me wait long periods of time to get my purchases. No fun at all! If you call someone at UPS's hazmat department it's like talking to a brick wall and as if they don't have anyone who actually understands batteries working there at all. When I called about a Backup UPS (uninterruptable power supply), they had no clue as to if the batteries in them were sealed or not much less what an uninterruptible power supply is! Answer:	I read the Ring Team's January 2020 answer that the battery can sit in the box for a few months unplugged after charging it. I did exactly that, and when I took the battery out of the box, it had discharged. It took more than 24 hours to recharge it. This has happened with both of the batteries (the one that came with Ring 3 Plus, and the one that I bought as a reserve). I bought the second (reserve) battery to put into the Ring to minimize "downtime" on the Ring device on my door. The Ring Team reply seems erroneous.

Answer:	I have been running mine for 24 days now on a single charge. Initially I had it set to allow "live view" and it was really dropping the charge fast. In 3 days it went from 100% to about 80%. Now, after turning that feature off, it has gone from 80% down to 27% in 21 days. I think one reason for the rapid drain may be that our outside cat has figured out that if she sits on the garbage can, we will eventually open the door and let her in. I want to wait before recharging to see how long it will go before it starts begging for attention. Regardless of how long it lasts before requiring a recharge, I am going to purchase a backup battery so I can switch them out instead of having to worry about down time. In my opinion, Ring should package it both as it is currently sold and optionally with a second battery for those who do not have/want wiring. Yes I understand that there would be a price difference in the packaging but that is to be expected.

Question:	Can these be left on the charger 24/7 or should I remove them after a full charge
Answer:	I had the same issue then I found this online http://data.energizer.com/pdfs/chvcm4-ap.pdf I read somewhere (I cant find it anymore sorry I tried) that the light only turns off after X amount of hours which is based on a full charge of the largest capacity battery. Since finding this, I have been charging my 1300's for 5 hours as instructed, and my 2300's for 10. I have to manually remember to take them off but it hasnt been an issue to let them run long. I do believe that the product SHOULD turn its light to green when the batteries are full but mine does not and I just pull the batteries based on their completion times. For whatever that is worth to anyone.
Question:	Do these come charged or do you have to charge them before use
Answer:	Yes, it does matter! A single pair of batteries MUST be placed in slots 1 and 2, OR in slots 3 and 4. A pair of batteries placed in slots 2 and 3 will NOT receive any charging current. None at all. They'll just sit there!
Question:	is the more Amh on a battery will be beter
Answer:	Those AmazonBasics High-Capacity AA batteries are slightly fatter than regular eneloop cell, which are alreaddy slightly fatter than alkaline AA. So if you have to resort to using eneloop-lite in battery compartments, then those high-capacity cells are not going to fit.
Question:	Why are these batteries rated at 1.2v instead of 1.5v like all disposable batteries are.Also the chargers will only charge them to about 1.4v

Answer:	Amazon keeps switching up the game to keep us guessing. As of 7/20/2019, the black label/green top batteries are definitely made in CHINA not japan (just received some, and I'm sending them back). None of Amazon's descriptions state whether or not either the black, silver, or white batteries are made, so I would assume that they are all Chinese at this point, which implies all of the manufacturing, quality, and supply chain issues Chinese batteries are famous for at this point. Do yourself a favor and spend a few extra dollars for eneloop or energizer, etc.

Answer:	Updated on April 4, 2015To clarify, there are now three different versions of AmazonBasic rechargeable NiMH batteries:- The original AmazonBasics batteries came in black wrappers. They are made in China and have the capacity rating of 2000mAh. Answer:	I purchased from Amazon one package of eight AAA with an expiration of March of 2028 and a package of twelve AA with an expiration date of March 2029. I have never had any trouble with Duracell Batteries.

Answer:	That it is because there are 20 in a pack and not that of the usual 10 hence double wide AAA. If it was a totally different size all together it would state something other then AAA, AA, C, B or D etc. They are just a simple triple A batteries 10 x 2 = 20, like double mint gum, twice the fun etc.

I have two 16-packs with December 2025 expiration dates ("guaranteed 10 years") which have been stored at room temperature in a dry environment, it's November 2019 now and both unopened packages have chemical leakage from nearly all batteries. One of them has leakage from all but one, and the other has leakage from all but two.

Answer:	You could if it actually worked. This charger stopped working within a month. I returned mine. Also you might want to consider more battery slots. 4 seems ok at first but now I got 1 with 8 slots and I think it's too small.
Question:	Does this charger only charge in pairs? Is it possible to charge 1 cell (at a time) with this charger
Answer:	I have owned this. The universal charger WILL charge batteries individually. There are 4 charging 'points' and you can choose to put one small battery (AA or AAA) in one point. Of course, you can also put two small batteries in each point to get the full 8-at-a-time figure. This also only applies to the small batteries. Cs and Ds are charged individually in each point, so their max is only 4 at a time total.

Answer:	Hi Nikhil Singh, over at the Energizer web site they have some additional information. Look under batteries and then battery chargers. You can download the user manual for this model. The user manual clearly indicates that 240V 50Hz power is OK. The only problem you will have is the plug. The two-prong plug is designed for U.S. outlets. Of course, any plug adapter will solve that problem.Basically, the answer is yes.
