Answer:	I don’t see why you couldn’t use it on hard wood. It could scratch if you dig the corner of the pan into the floor, but then you wouldn’t be using the item properly, so unless you have a kid who would be throwing it around or sitting on it and scooting, your floors are safe.

Question:	What is the quality of Dustpan, will it be cracked when exposed outdoors
Answer:	Turn the top portion of the handle above the black ring until it loosens and pull the top portion upwards (careful not to hit yourself or anyone near you). Once it's at the height you desire, turn the top and bottom portions of the handle in opposite directions to tighten it. Once you're done, you can collapse it back down by loosening the top portion again and sliding it back down towards the black ring.

Answer:	I cannot get it to work on my carpets with cat hair. I run the broom over the carpet multiple times in different directions and very little to no hair comes up. To check, I then rub the palm of my hand over the carpet and the cat hair balls up.

Answer:	Hi Susan - About cat hair and your Berber carpet - If the hair is sitting on the surface of the carpet and not entangled in the hook of the Berber - Here is what I would do - spray water on the surface so the hair become damp and are more likely to stick together. Then I would use the flat side of this rubber broom. The flat side acts in the same way a wiper does to clear a window of water. You would be raking the fur into a pile..then physically picking it up. I love this broom...use it all of the time. Friends and family are amazed when then see how easy it is to scrape dust, dirt etc all into a pile. When you use a broom, debris gets lost in the straw of the broom and often gets redistributed. Back to your question. I have another Amazon purchase that I love. It is a Black and Decker 18 (I think) Volt rechargeable hand vacuum. It has a nozzle that would suck up dry cat hair. Then you would empty the plastic waste container...which is easy to do. What I think would work well is a damp sponge in hand... wiping the baseboard as well as the carpet. Tossing the hair in a trash bag. Remember the hair is on the surface and you don't want to embed the hair in the Berber. Just wipe it, clear it, vacuum off the top. Answer:	This works great on hardwood, my entire house is HW with the exception of the kitchen and Bathroom. I am actually on here to order another one. I've had mine for about 8 yrs. and the handle recently broke due to my husband using it to reach up and brush off snow on vehicles in these last few storms. It was too heavy for it. I have 2 dogs that shed a lot and this has been a life saver! Even in our previous house with carpet, it worked wonders!

Answer:	I am not really very knowledgeable about the magnifying lenses. I think the lens for the visor comes in different powers. I am not sure if the loupe comes in different powers. I think the loupe can be used with any visor lens. I thought you might be able to use a loupe for each eye (as in another answer: it is not binocular), but you can't. I can use my loupe by itself, but it must be closer than 8" from my work. I use mine with a number 5 visor lens. Hope this helps!

Answer:	My hair sheds like crazy and this picks up loads of it I didnt even notice was on the floor.

Answer:	It will pick up the fur, it does have some little brushes on the corners (you can kind of see it in the picture). When I'm going over a tuft of hair, sometimes it gets caught in the brush. Easy enough to pull off and sweep up though. I've only used it on hardwood and door rugs, so not high pile carpeting.
Question:	The handles are not long enough. Can I get a extension pole
Answer:	I used it on my carpet that is different lengths and it picked up crumbs from my dogs cookies and also some pieces of grass that the dog tracked in after I mowed the lawn. I think the two different types of brushes help clean up better than the sweeper with only one brush. I still have to use an upright vacuum to do a real deep cleaning but this one is great for spot cleaning.

Answer:	Yes, mine picks up everything. But if it gets hair in the bristles it will not work as well. I use an old comb thick comb and pull them out or just cut between the bristels and pull it out. I have had 2 for couple years now. One for inside on carpet and hardwood and one for outside on my screened in porch. It picks up little pieces of rocks and soil and leaves. We had a cat who moved out with my son it would also pick up stray kitty litter but I got one of those Mats that helped alot keeping it in small area where the box was. So I usually used a small dustpan and broom designated for the litter around his box.

Answer:	This screw and nut to hold the optical plate to the headset is a standard 6-32 x 3/8". Since you had trouble with them I would recommend getting 6-32 x 1/2" screws and using nylock nuts on them.

The "DA" prefix means the lenses are optical glass in a plastic frame. The "LX" and "AL" are acrylic lenses (hence the "AL"). Answer:	Yes, a VERY nice, wide and perfectly tapered rubber edge. A Plus: a WONDERFUL wooden handle. So well made...like in the "old" days when such items were meticulously crafted and meant to last a very long time.
Question:	How secure is the brush when mounted to the dustpan? Does it stay in place or easily fall out
Answer:	It stays in pretty well. You could hang them with a hook using the string from the brush, and it would not come apart.
