Answer:	Mine has red lights for charging, green lights when charged. Also, note that this does not plug into an AC outlet. This was a surprise to me because I have an identical looking EBL unit that does. It does come with a USB cord that allows it to charge from a computer or a common 5V, 1A wall supply. A 1A wall supply will probably charge two batteries faster. I just got the new charger, so have not tested that yet.

Question:	Does the battery charger charge 9v ni-cd battery
Answer:	Purchased 2 sets. Charged for several hours until chargers showed "green". Tested each battery of the 2 sets. 10 batteries total. volts ranged from 8.21v to 8.36v. Three of one set were all 8.21v. The rest were all 8.35v to 8.36v. As someone else said, the charger output is only 8.4v. All this said... I researched different rechargeable batteries and 9v Lithium-Ion batteries such as these appear to range from 7.4v on up. mAh seems to be different depending on brand. While these are 600 mAh, I found other Lithium-Ion at 620 mAh. Interesting how most Alkaline show a true 9v but less average mAh at about 550. Looks like the best bang though are disposable Lithium, showing 9v and 1200 mAh. I like the fact that these EBL brand can be easily recharged so many times, but my only concern is if the lower voltage is OK for all 9v devices.

Answer:	I have not experienced a flashing red. Both of my units were solid red while charging then solid blue when charged. I would expect it is signaling something is wrong with the flashing red battery. Have you tried to compare by putting a load on both to verify that the one with the flashing red light is defective? I would expect something on the flashing red battery is not normal. You might measure with a meter to verify that the voltage of the flashing battery is lass then the blue unit, with or without a load on the battery.

As long as the Amp draw is low than these should work quite well. Answer:	I can't say from experience but I can offer some insights.. 1. Lithium batteries tend to provide fairly consistent voltage through most of their discharge cycle, up until they're mostly out of power. If you can imagine this graphed w/ voltage on the vertical access and time on the horizontal axis.. the line will stay pretty level across the chart and then fall off quickly right at the end. Traditional dry-cell batteries will gradually loose voltage as they discharge, so the same graph would show a downward slope across the entire chart. 2. I'm not familiar with the power requirements of active bass circuitry (I only recently got a guitar with active pickups but haven't played it much.. I'm actually here looking for more 9V for it ;-)... I do have some experience with 9v microphone transmitter packs. From my experience, they do seem to be sensitive to voltage drops. I work in Higher-Ed .. and one of our lab managers went through great trouble testing out 9V brands to find one that had a high consistency for providing high voltage (which is usually something like 8.4 or 8.6V in real life). Lithium rechargeables might be better for your Bass because of point 1. You get more consistent voltage across most of a full discharge cycle. This is a double-edged sword though. Because of how Li batteries discharge, they tend to seem like they've got plenty of charge left until right before they fail. If you Gig.. you should be careful to charge them up beforehand. If it only holds one 9 volt battery at a time, you can have the other one charging/charged up and ready to go when the power runs down in the one you're using. Well anyway, these are great for anything that needs a 9 volt battery, but you also want a spare 9 volt battery always charged up.
