Answer:	i believe the newer bottles are vegan. manufacture will replace older bottles with the newer ones if asked. personally i don't give a damn as long as it puts me to sleep and this does just that.

Answer:	It's 500 mg per capsule. I take 3 in the evening (1500 mg) and it seems to help. It's an herb, so the extra dosage likely can't hurt. But, it's best to ask a pharmacist.
