The Hushh locks so baby can't raise the volume and hurt tiny ears. The Hushh also has a night light that the Rohm does not. Further, the Hushh has a clip to go on strollers, carseats, etc. The Rohm has a lanyard. The lanyard is a potential choking hazard on a "baby" item. Answer:	If they are really annoying and it's tiring to constantly shushing them then maybe :) The shusher slowwwwwwly say shusssssssh in a very calming manner repetitively. It has a 15 and 30 minute timer and acts as a white noise machine. For some adults it may, it is very relaxing

I’m not cheap either, we have every expensive baby thing, the organic Snuggle Me sensory pillow, the crappy mamaroo swing (also returned), como tomo bottle, etc. I felt incredibly duped and quite frankly a little stupid for buying this before looking for an app. Currently I play rain and such for our babe to sleep. Sometimes I use a shushing app. The people staying how $35 isn’t a lot... $35 for this product feels like robbery... just sayin... get the app or spend money on a portable sound machine that has a wider variety of sounds
Question:	what does a shusher sound like ?any way to hear it we have been using a hair dryer
Answer:	It sounds like someone going "shhhhhhhhhh" in a long, drawn out way. There is a momentary pause between each "shush" so it is not a continuous sound like the hair dryer. When my baby is really upset, nothing is as effective as the hair dryer. Period. But the shusher is obviously more convenient--no cord, no blowing air, etc. I like the shusher but at this point, I use the HoMedics Sound Spa on the Go even more--the white noise function can be turned up loud and it's small enough to go with us anywhere. Plus, unlike the shusher, I can attach it to her car seat. And it's 1/3 the price. Just my two cents...

Answer:	Hey! Either, OR .I run mine every night all night long and I do use batteries how ever I only needed to change them " once" ( Because I didn't turn it off all way to"click")! So easy to use, on my little shelf above my head on the side of the Bed... My versitile for me using batteries 🤗

Answer:	the "Rain" setting has a very definite loop. The showering sound is nice, but then there are about 4 plopping sounds and you hear that repeat about every 6-7 seconds. I found it very annoying. The "white noise" setting has a fairly nice quality, but I would have had to turn it up so loud in order to drown out my husband's snoring that the "white noise" itself would have been too loud for my comfort. It's an ok machine, but if you are sensitive to the looping, this machine will bother you.
Question:	Does this machine emit light (e.g., LEDs) during operation? If so, how bright is it
Answer:	Yes, and I find it very bright. So much so that I have to cover it with something because it illuminates the area next to my bed and around the device. (It's the only thing I don't like about it and I wonder why they put the light on the machine - if the machine is making noise, it's obviously on!) I put a piece of black electrical tape over it.

Answer:	I've never tried running it all night, but I'm pretty sure you can. To select a time limit (15, 30, or 60 minutes), you push a button and the light beside the time lights up, indicating which time has been selected. When I turn my on, none of the timer options are lit up, so I assume that means it will run indefinitely. Hope that helps!

Answer:	I don't see any way to do this, if the unit is on there is sound playing. You can turn the projection on and off during use but the audio can only be turned down, not off.

Answer:	No you can't mute the sound. It does have 8 different sound levels to choose from though. We keep ours on the lowest setting usually so it's just a soft background noise. During family gatherings when it tends to be a bit more noisy in the house we will turn it up a little to help drown out the noise outside the bedroom.

Question:	Is it really loud enough to block noise out
Answer:	No sound machine will block out all the noise, but even tho this one is small and compact it does an adequate job... especially for the size. We use it for travel.
Question:	Does the ocean sound have birds too? Can anyone shate a video
Answer:	No, there are no bird sounds. The 'ocean' sounds very similar to white noise with a hint of waves crashing.
Question:	What are the decibels
Answer:	All HoMedics SoundSpa products have a maximum of 75 decibels.
Question:	Can this stay on continuously
Answer:	Yes! My child loves it! We use it in the car and when we travel! Best thing ever!

Question:	What are the 8 "white noise" pre-set sounds? Is one of them campfire?? (Or is there a way to load a "fire" sound
Answer:	There are I believe 11 preset sounds. Unfortunately, a campfire is not one of them. You can not load any new sounds. I use the wind sounds a lot more like ocean waves and although that is another sound I like the wind sound better. I do have to say though that I absolutely love this machine. My daughter sleeps so much better with it. I love that you can preset it to go on and off when you want it to.
Question:	Does there have to be 1 min. between programs? I would like for it to change from red (sleep) to green (wake) without turning off in between
Answer:	Great question! If there is any overlap, the second program will override the first. For example, if your bedtime program runs until 8:05am, and your morning program is set to start at 8:00am... your Rest will switch from bedtime to morning at 8:00am. Question:	I'm interested in getting 2 - for our 3 year old son & our baby's nursery. How does the app work with 2 units? Can they be programmed independantly
Answer:	Yes each device is managed separately in the Hatch app, really easy/inuitive. I actually have one for my toddler and newborn too - it's the only sound machine out there that I came across that you can program by time!:)
Question:	Will my kid override me? How limited can his options be from inside his room? Can he change it after one of my programs begins
Answer:	It is possible to control the light and sound settings directly from the device, BUT in the newest app update they added a "Toddler Lock" feature that fixes this problem. During program run-times you can disable all controls on the device itself, so our kids can't override our programs. It's been very helpful for us.

Question:	Is there an option to play all the sounds at the same time
Answer:	Nothing on the packaging indicates this. If you shop at Costco, same product as in the store. I use almost two a month, and see no difference between this and Flonase brand name. Before this I had to take 5 to 6 claritan, zyrtec, etc a day. Now 3 to 5 squirts a day, my allergies are actually under control. But will take up to 2 weeks for full effectiveness.
Question:	Is this a rechargeable battery? How much does it weigh
Answer:	The bottle says made in Canada - distributed by Apotex Corp out of Weston, Florida. It says it has the same active ingredients as Flonase, but my fiance says his does not "mist" when it sprays, and it is not as effective as the Walgreens brand. (Flonase is probably the best, but it is also the most expensive.) I do not know if the FDA governs medicine from Canada.

Question:	Would this work to drown out barking dogs in the neighborhood
Answer:	It depends on how close and loud the dogs are. I have used one of these since I was a kid and your mind focuses on the white noise that it produces and ignores all but the harshest of outside noise. We had a car slam into three parked cars across the street form our home and didn't know it happened until the next day and saw the destruction. It will certainly help.
Question:	Does the machine have a headphone jack
Answer:	The machine is not up to snuff. The motor goes out and starts squealing after after a few weeks. This machine is a power hog and it doesn't mask sounds well. Old technology. You have better options. Buy a reputable brand and check Fakespot
Question:	How loud is it? I need something decently loud for my newborn
Answer:	There are two setting for the noise based on if you push the switch up or down. I use the louder setting at night and when I was in college I would use the lower setting when studying to drown out noises. I think it is definitely loud enough. Hope that helps :)
