I even use a metal comb to get hair out of the brush side with the metal pins. Still no pin has come out or been lost. In my humble opinion, this is a sturdy, well built brush that can stand quite a lot of use. That is not to say it is indestructible and that perhaps at some point in the future it could possibly loos a pin. But as is, this one is going strong. I can recommend it.
