Question:	Whats the difference between the cut to fit and one-piece system
Answer:	A one-piece system has the Skin Barrier already attached to the pouch (as you see in the photo)... It is all one piece. Cut-to-Fit means that the size of the opening for your stoma must be cut to the proper size for you (Some Skin Barriers have Pre-sized openings at 1", 1½", 1¾", 2", Etc.)...

Answer:	They are not cheap for just a few you buy. I get them for moms back up. Insurance only cover so many every 3months. And it’s really bad the end of the year because the co-pay has to be paid in order for your insurance to approve. Dr. Has to send in the order to the insurance company. Amazon is a great back up. She also uses the odor elimanator. She used adhesive to help stick at first but now she uses skin preps in which you can buy from amazon.

Answer:	You put it on the edge of the wafer halfway so it sticks to the skin too. These work very well. I have problems with adhesion to my skin. And skin sensitivity. These are perfect.

Answer:	I have never used hollistet 8805 . This goes between your skin and your wafer and its pliable, You don’t want to touch it to much with your fingers it takes the stickyness away, but you can mold it a bit to fit your stoma. It should say what the inside circle is and just get the size to fit your stoma. The 1 3/4inch - 2 inch outside diameter is normal a normal size for an adult wafer.

Answer:	No, sorry ... I suggest you try to return it. I've had an ostomy for 14 years & have been dealing with selling these type supplies for over 10 of those years... And I do not know of ANY products that are Double Stick. The only solution I could suggest would be to use one of these Strips (You can cut it into smaller pieces & use several to go all the way around your small tube stoma - This will basically protect your skin), then buy some actual Double-stick Carpet Tape like from Lowe's or Home Depot & cut a piece to go around your stoma. This Carpet Tape should go 'Over & on top of' the Barrier Strip (Don't let it stick directly to your skin, it might cause irritation)... Bottom line: These Brava Barrier Strips are a good Protection for your skin --- Then you can use actual Double stick Tape on top of them!
Question:	Have people had better adhesion wearing these under the edge of the ostomy barrier or on top of it
Answer:	on top. I put half the strip on the edge of barrier and half to my skin. This is only way I could get one to stick for most of the day. It will take 2 strips. I feel for you. All of this stuff is so expensive and I had terrible time finding something that would stay on more than few minutes.

Answer:	It has be a while since I used the product. Of course you wouldn’t want to clean the skin where it is applied so it can do it’s job. To clean off fingers where it sticks when applying the product an alcohol pad or just soap and water will remove.
