You can thin either type of Snoot down using the following procedure. This can also be found in the FAQ section on the SnootSpray.com website.1) Measure the Snoot per instructions into separate measuring cups, (10ml/10ml), but do not put it in the sprayer. (Note that mixing smaller quantities is hard to do accurately without a pipette)2) Pour one cup into the other to mix, repeat this a couple of times to mix. 3) In the empty cup, pour 5ml of ISOTONIC saline (preferably "unbuffered", which means no Sodium Bicarbonate)4) Add the Snoot mixture from the other cup until it reaches 20ml -- which is what the sprayer holds. Answer:	No .. it will not work as same as nebulizer

Answer:	Exactly the same happened to me. Very cheap plastic for chamber. To avoid that, you have to clean and dry it after each use. I left it filled overnight and it melted badly.
Question:	How do i make the steam work? it's plunged in with the light on! no steam
Answer:	Did you put water in the correct place? It is very important to read manual, although a little confusing about where to add inhalants if using. And make sure not to put the measuring "cup" in the spout where the steam comes out or remember to remove it if that's where you store it.

Answer:	I just recently got a MyPurMist inhaler, and I think the quality is much better. Understand I've had it less than a month, so I don't have personal data But when I compare the two side by side, the quality of the MyPurMist is better. It is also more comfortable to use in that the steam is finer *and* it is easier to watch TV or do something else while steaming. (The Mabis must sit on a flat surface and you must be at a rather awkward angle when using it).Here is one difference: you have to use very pure water when using the MyPurMist and nothing else must be added. However, it is very effective. I was also amazed the first time I used it at how much steam I got for a very small amount of water.So, yes it is expensive, but I think it is worth it. The Mabis plastic breaking down within a year worries me, because yellow plastic means you are breathing in impurities from the plastic.P.S. Answer:	There wouldn't be harmful bacteria in sterile water that might be present in other sources. It's up to you to determine how safe your filtered water is. I use distilled didn't want to chance it.

Answer:	Yes the direction say only use distilled or sterile water ( you can boil it yourself ) I do have my own well and a filter system so I feel confident with using my tap water with no problems. I believe that city treated water may irritate the nasal cavity or dry it out causing easier nose bleeds. I also think that some people might use unsanitary or unclean water if not told otherwise. So its probably also a smart legal thing ( and safe thing ) to say. There are some crazy people out there that might use stream or rain water. Ive seen crazier things LOL.

Answer:	It did for me the first time because I didn't follow the directions lol. They key is to not blow through your nose as you are rinsing. Just let the water flow and breathe out through your mouth. If you try to inhale or exhale through your nose as you are rinsing you may feel a burning sensation for a few seconds. Key is just letting it flow.

How To Use

Step 1: Wash your hands before start. Fill the nasal irrigation up to the fill line with lukewarm distilled water or previously boiled water.

Answer:	The handle is hollow. Another reason why mine split in two pieces. The cover screws on and works good. I actually glued it back together and I'm using it again.

Answer:	It does not say what kind of plastic and does not have a plastic recycle symbol. Rest assured that it is definitely breakable, as my wife dropped it on the floor and it cracked. Go with the Yeti pot. It works just as well and has a much more impact resistant type of plastic.

Answer:	Fill it up, put in one of the packages, tilt your head sideways over the sink and stick it in the nostril that's on the top side and then switch to the other (assuming you have two nostrils). When the pot is empty, blow your nose to get out any water that still lingering in you sinuses. The real trick is make sure your head is really tilted sideways. The more sideways the better. I found that having my mouth open helps the flow...don't know why but it does. Be ready for a really weird feeling (Kind of like when you get water in your nose when you go swimming) but just go with it ...you'll be surprised how much better you feel moments after you're done.
