Answer:	I wash with whites using hot water option and Tide with bleach (granules). This solves odor issues for me as well as providing cleaning. I do not know how much fluid the mattress pad contained when I washed in the past however.

Answer:	Definitely! I switched from using the disposable puppy pads to using these pads for my three small dogs. They work wonderfully! I just throw them in the washing machine with some bleach and hot water to wash and they come out beautifully. I save money on not having to buy disposable puppy pads, and I'm not creating more trash for the landfill. My suggestion for switching from disposable puppy pads to these pads is to put a puppy pad next to this pad on the floor and gradually transition your dog to the new pads. My 15 yr old pug had a bit of a challenge at first, thinking she was trying to "go" on something she should not. She was looking for the puppy pads, but it did not take very long for her to realize that these pads were the "new thing" for her to use.

Answer:	I have never bleached so I am not sure. I wash the pad in a mixed colors load with sheets on warm water with detergent and downy.

Answer:	easily . I am old lady with arthritis, and how i do it is this: I flatten head of bed DOWN, and raise UP the knee of bed. SUPER EASY< patient just slides right up towards pillow again. (i just flatten the patient very briefly, just long enough to pull pt up to top of bed again) RAISE ENTIRE BED UP to comfortable height to spare your backstrain. (when you are done moving patient? lower the entire bed back down in case patient falls out of bed.) I move to stand at head of bed, and reach for corners of this pad under his shoulders and pull this here pad and pt Easily slides right back up to pillow area of bed. I can pull a 200lb person up to pillow of bed again using that exact method, using this pad. Then, of course, i re-elevate the head of bed back up a bit. THIS PAD IS VERY DURABLE for pulling patients who slide down the bed, back up again to the pillow area of bed again, so that they can be properly positioned to ease breathing when head of bed is raised back up a bit. It is also nice to use this pad to pull patient onto side to stuff a pillow behind them. This pad will keep the pillow behind them dry.

Answer:	in case you are not aware, you can purchase queen and king size mattress covers that have a waterproof back and a terrycloth or soft top. They are washable and can dry in your dryer. I also care for a Mom with Alzheimer's and I have two of those mattress covers- they are fitted and go under the sheets and protect the entire mattress. I then also use a pad like this for over the sheets which sometimes prevents a sheet change.

Answer:	I,ve washed mine every other day or so for a few weeks. It,s still holding up well. Some times, because of the volume of liquid from my husband, it will seep through some. My nose says that these pads do not contain any formaldehyde. I would definitely be able to smell that as it has a very distinctive odor. (Think embalming fluid!) Hope this helps.

Answer:	I would email the company, but I believe this is the only pad I've found that is just cloth. The backing non-slip dots do not appear to be latex, but I'm not certain. These pads work VERY well.

Answer:	Yes, it does stay in place, better than any other pad I’ve purchased and I’ve purchased many different kinds. Whether or not it will stay that way after several washings remains to be seen. Almost all of the other pads I’ve purchased have lost their grip after several machine washings (using bleach, which the label states is fine to use). Very frustrating to have to try to straighten a pad out in the middle of the night just because I’ve turned over. Grrr!

Answer:	I have a standard white porcelain toilet and it matches just fine

Answer:	As I recall, it didn't come with wingnuts. It has a weird tension based design where you push up the hollow cylindrical piece from underneath and screw in the screws from the top (you have to apply pressure to the bottom piece as you screw the screw in or the threads won't collapse around the screw and "grab" it). As the screw tightens it pulls the bottom piece up and produces more tension causing it to wedge into the toilet screw holes. The installation was perplexing to me and I found no videos or instructions on it, but I did find that what I outlined above worked.The problem, however, is that my son sat on it and peed out the front of the toilet all over the wall multiple times (there is a gap between the top seat and the regular toilet seat). I was unable to train him the appropriate way to use it and decided to can it to avoid having to constantly clean the wall and floor underneath the toilet. Hope this helps.

DON’T cut corners

Do not cut the tails on the corners of the underpad. They prevent the outer stitching from tearing and help prolong the life of the product.

DON’T use fabric softener

Feel free to machine wash and tumble dry your reusable underpad, but don’t add fabric softener. It can deteriorate the material and affect the absorbency.

DO store in resealable bag

Answer:	I sleep directly on top. This keeps your bedding clean if there is an "accident". The pad is soft and not irritating to the skin. It can be used under bedding if you wish.
Question:	does it make noise when you lay on it
Answer:	Does not make noise. High Quality product.
Question:	do they wick urine away formthe skin or just sit on top all wet and cold
Answer:	It absorbs and protects the item it is on (sheet, mattress), but it does not wick it away leaving the surface dry.
Question:	Does it make you hot and sweaty like most pads with water proof backing
Answer:	These aren't hot and sweaty at all. And they don't have that stereotypical waterproof layer in sound or to the touch...in fact, they only feel like really thick fabric. Also, they wash up surprisingly well and are incredibly durable.
