Answer:	I would say no. I've used these insoles for years in a variety of shoes and boots and they fit in right over the existing insole.

Answer:	The reason I selected Sof sole is because it was thin and firm support, not a soft gel-like support that so many others have. It does not alter the fit of the shoe. I have not tried the Power step, but from the pictures the arch area looks higher than Sof sole. Sof sole measures about 1/2" height in the arch area. I think it is good support, because it is firm and inflexible, but the arch area could be a little higher. I may think about trying the Power step now that I have looked at it.
