13 best defibrillator for home
A defibrillator for home use is a life-saving medical device designed to deliver an electrical shock to the heart in the event of sudden cardiac arrest. It is primarily used to restore normal heart rhythm when the heart goes into a life-threatening arrhythmia, such as ventricular fibrillation or ventricular tachycardia. Here are some key points about home defibrillators:
Purpose: The primary purpose of a home defibrillator is to provide immediate treatment for sudden cardiac arrest, a condition in which the heart's electrical activity becomes irregular or stops altogether. This can be a life-threatening situation, and quick intervention is crucial.
Types: There are two main types of home defibrillators: automated external defibrillators (AEDs) and manual defibrillators. AEDs are designed for use by laypeople and provide automated instructions to guide users through the process. Manual defibrillators are typically used by trained medical professionals.
Ease of Use: AEDs are user-friendly and are designed to be used by individuals without extensive medical training. They come with clear visual and audio instructions that prompt users on how to apply the pads and administer the shock, if necessary.
Safety Features: Home defibrillators have safety features to prevent accidental shocks. They will only deliver a shock if the device detects a shockable rhythm in the heart.
Availability: Home defibrillators can be purchased for personal use and kept in homes, schools, workplaces, and other public places to ensure quick access in case of an emergency.
Training: While AEDs are designed for ease of use, it is recommended that individuals receive basic training in CPR (cardiopulmonary resuscitation) and AED use. Many organizations and healthcare providers offer CPR and AED certification courses.
Maintenance: Regular maintenance is essential to ensure that a home defibrillator is in good working condition. This includes checking battery life, electrode pad expiration dates, and conducting self-tests as recommended by the manufacturer.
Emergency Response: In the event of sudden cardiac arrest, the first step is to call 911 or emergency services for professional assistance. While waiting for help to arrive, the AED can be used to provide immediate treatment.
Legal Considerations: Laws regarding the purchase and use of AEDs vary by jurisdiction. It's important to be aware of any legal requirements and regulations in your area.
Cost: Home defibrillators are available at various price points, with AEDs being more affordable and accessible for general consumers.
Having a defibrillator in the home can significantly increase the chances of survival in the event of sudden cardiac arrest. However, it is crucial to understand how to use the device properly and to seek professional medical assistance as soon as possible when faced with a cardiac emergency.

User questions & answers
Question: | What is the "Install before" date on the battery |
Answer: | It did not |
Question: | So when the battery doesn't work when you get it and you can't return it, now what |
Answer: | It comes with the red remote switch. |
Question: | does this battery have a warranty? I see several "it died after a few months" comments. can you get a replacement if it stops working |
Answer: | When in off mode it can be turned off or on right at the unit or with the provided Contura switch that can be installed remotely. In off lock mode the unit can NOT be turned on at the unit or remotely with the switch. To better explain this unit can be used for a wide variety of things. I used it to be able to turn off my winch remotely. However, this unit is designed to allow a mechanic to lock out the ability for a captain up in the wheel house to be able to remotely try to start a generator while the mechanic is working on it. Once the mechanic is done working on it he can take the unit out of lock mode and put it in off mode. Allowing the captain to remotely turn the unit on or off anytime via his Contura switch. Hope this helps |
Question: | What is the "Install before" date listed on the battery label |
Answer: | You do load multiple shots (and if you do it right you can shotgun load multiple bands) and I think I managed 6 or 7 before I was totally empty. The stronger the bands you use the less shots you have. YouTube this launcher, there are some demos about how to load and fire it that show what I mean. I have some videos of it on my channel too, Foam from Above. |

Question: | Is there a battery indicator light on the outside of the case to know if the battery has lost its charge |
Answer: | I have a drawer block set,and it dosen't sit in the slot very well. the back of the blade is 1 1/2 inches, use a magnet holder, they work better , unless you have an countertop block set. |
Question: | Are there any other fees associated with this machine? Yearly/Monthly fees |
Answer: | I like the smaller size over my chef's knife and if I am dicing a lot of vegetables, this feels more precise for when I have to use brunoise cuts. |
Question: | Hi, does it comes with a child cpr mask and child electrode pads |
Answer: | This is a double bevel so you're all set. I bought this for myself years ago and then bought it for friends as gifts and I've had no complaints. |
Question: | What kind of warranty does this unit have |
Answer: | Absolutely! It's just heavy enough to handle all thick skinned veggies but still has a very fine blade for for any dicing afterwards. Much better multi use knife than a cleaver. |
Question: | is this an eligible expense if i have an HSA |
Answer: | At the widest point -- near the handle -- it is 2" |

User questions & answers
Question: | Can the cabinet that comes with this package be mounted to recess into the wall |
Answer: | Those training electrodes are for the Philips HeartStart OnSite Trainer, not for the HeartStart FRx Trainer. The training electrodes for the FRx trainer use part number 989803139291. You can do an Amazon search for that part number to get the correct training electrodes. |
Question: | Hi, does the " 989803139311 philips infant/child key, frx defibrillator " works with this unit |
Answer: | Hi there, thanks for your question. Our clinical pads can last for approximately two years. If you're looking for an exact expiration date however, this can be found on the expiration date label on the pad itself. Kind regards, Philips Healthcare |
Question: | Does this unit update with new aha protocols? does it update its algorithm somehow (wifi?)? or is is stuck in time from the date i buy it |
Answer: | Phillips pads will work only on Phillips machines. |
Question: | is the heartstart defib machine in the phillips value pack fully automatic or semi automatic |
Answer: | I agree with the previous answers. FYI, the pads I purchased 8/30/2020 have an expiration date of 05/2022, so a bit less than 2 years. I needed pediatric pads too, and amazon did not have them in stock. I purchased from an AED supply company that was able to verify the expiration date of their current stock before I placed the order. In the future, I'll go through them for adult pads as well. |

BACtrack S80 Professional Breathalyzer
The BACtrack S80 Breathalyzer is designed to meet the rigorous standards of expert alcohol screeners - from roadside law enforcement to hospital workers and treatment professionals. Approved by the U.S. Department of Transportation, the S80 has also been cleared by the Food and Drug Administration for personal use, making it a top choice of safety-conscious individuals.
Why Choose a BACtrack Professional Series Breathalyzer?
All BACtrack Professional Series breathalyzers employ BACtrack's proprietary police-grade Xtend Fuel Cell Sensor Technology and are ideal for applications that demand the most accurate results, such as clinical or roadside alcohol testing or personal BAC monitoring.
Precise, Consistent BAC Results
The linear response of BACtrack's Xtend Fuel Cell Sensor delivers precise results over the complete range of alcohol concentrations expected in the breath, from 0.000 to 0.400 percent BAC and excels in instances where individuals are tested repeatedly in a short period of time
Long-Term Reliability
BACtrack's Xtend Fuel Cell Sensors have an extended sensor life (when compared with other traditional sensors), which allows BACtrack Pro Series breathalyzers to maintain their accuracy for up to thousands of tests, delivering long-term reliability you can trust.
Simple, One-Touch Operation
The S80 is easy to use - insert the two AA batteries that come with the product, and it's ready to test. When you press the start button, the BACtrack S80 counts down for approximately 10 seconds, preparing the system for a breath sample. When the countdown reaches zero, blow steadily and continuously for at least 5 seconds. If a sufficient breath sample has been taken, the user's estimated BAC is displayed on the screen.
Reliable Performance, Accurate Results
Despite its small size, the BACtrack S80 packs serious technology inside its black plastic casing. There is a miniature air pump inside the S80 that activates at the end of each breath sample. You can actually feel the 'click' during each test. This proprietary internal sampling system ensures that a precise breath sample enters the alcohol fuel cell sensor, and is one of the reasons why the S80 provides trusted, accurate results every test.
Test Yourself, Friends and Family
With it's easy to read LCD screen, extraordinary battery life and six extra included mouthpieces, BACtrack S80 is perfect for testing yourself as well as your friends and family. Take it with you wherever you go and gain peace of mind while keeping your loved ones safe with BACtrack.
The Military and Law Enforcement Trust BACtrack
Police Departments rely on BACtrack Breathalyzers as preliminary screening devices during DUI traffic stops to determine if someone is possibly intoxicated. They trust BACtrack because they know they are getting the most accurate BAC results possible.
Health Professionals Trust BACtrack
While blood testing is the most accurate way to determine BAC, this process is invasive, time consuming and requires trained professionals. With a BACtrack Breathalyzer, medical staff can quickly and easily estimate the BAC of their patients, in a fraction of the time.
Alcohol Treatment and Recovery Centers Trust BACtrack
Alcohol Treatment and Recovery Centers use BACtrack Breathalyzers to keep their patients accountable for their sobriety. They rely on BACtrack to provide accurate, consistent results on a daily basis to help keep their members on track, towards a healthy and sober recovery.

Question: | Does ecg show pvcs, pacs , and any other rhythms besides normal & afib? what is highest heart rate it will record |

All rhythms below 50 bpm and above 100 bpm even if they are normal sinus rhythm are also marked unclassified. After a 30-second EKG, you’ll know if your heart rhythm is normal or if Atrial Fibrillation is detected. AFib is one of the most common irregular heart rhythms, and a leading cause of stroke.
Take an EKG when you feel a symptom or when you just want the peace of mind.
Using KardiaMobile couldn’t be easier
1. Simply open the Kardia app on your phone, and tap “record EKG.”
2. Place KardiaMobile near your phone, and gently rest your fingers on each sensor.
3. In 30 seconds you'll see your results

KardiaMobile is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease. If you receive a result which is not consistent with your expectations, consult a medical professional. User questions & answers
Question: | Does this product come with the actual defibrillator as well as the cabinet |
Answer: | It can be a shelf support. It is welded to the rails for upper supports, with the adjustable legs being below the lower shelf support. The weld could be removed and the support reattached without compromising the stability of the rails or the upper support. |
Question: | What is the power source for the alarm and lights? Does this need to have 110v electric run to it |
Answer: | It is only ONE (1) leg, it requires two to make a workbench. I returned mine as I found it too expensive for the quality. |
