Answer:	Don't see that statement on my jugs of soap. "Wash away bacteria" is not the same as "kills bacteria". This soap does not contain anti-bacterial chemicals. Any soap can wash away bacteria - that's one of the things soap does. I stopped using hand and dish soap with bactericides in them years ago. I have used this particular hand soap for years and have no problems with it. I handle meats, clean the kitchen sink, and clean toilets and tubs and bathroom sinks without gloves and wash my hands with this soap and then go about my day. It's the scrubbing that loosens the dirt and whatever microbes might be on your hands and soap makes water behave more like water - it makes it "wetter". You don't need anti-bacterial soaps. Just use common sense and wash your hands when necessary.
