Answer:	Isopropyl alcohol is not toxic unlike Ethyl Alcohol. Sad to see Amazon doesn't carry wipes from a California company but does carry their Spray's here. Ethyl alcohol always smells like Vodka, one way to tell. My workplace ordered HUGE barrels of Ethyl Alcohol at 100 percent not only did the smell irritate you it was not good on our skin either. We had dry wipes in canisters we had to pump full of Ethyl Alcohol, nasty that's for sure.

Answer:	To answer your general question, yes, both times I've ordered this item, it has been the individually-wrapped packets of thin but dense paper soaked in what seemed to be pure sanitizing-strength ethanol. If I don't already have excess moisturizer on my hands, it leaves my skin feeling drier. The wipe dries very quickly (no additives holding back the evaporation) and dries stiff and crinkly (no additives making it softer). However, the Inactive Ingredients section is missing from the back of each packet. That said, these are not purely ethanol and water, and not food-grade. The SDS for manufacturer GOJO indicates between 3% and 5% isopropyl alcohol added, which I believe is an appropriate amount for certain Specially Denatured alcohol formulas. No other hazardous or Right-To-Know additives are listed other than water and the paper wipe. Other information on the composition of this particular wipe has been incredibly hard to find.

Answer:	I doubt it. These are primarily for sterilizing a small patch of skin for injection or blood tests. For an irregular shape like an earring I would advise an ultrasonic bath with a soapy solution. Possibly followed by immersion in a straight 70 percent isopropyl alcohol solution. Alcohol may affect the glues used to attach pearls/gems and may damage some types of finishes, so it may be best to ask a jeweler's advice. But no, prep pads probably are not a good idea for jewelry.

Answer:	Box states "Made in India." Distributed by McKesson Medical-Surgical, Richmond, Virginia. Ingredients are pad (inactive) saturated with 70% Isopropyl Alcohol and Sterile Water, v/v.

Answer:	Yes they are made in India. The box says sterile but there is no mention of gamma sterilization. This is the third box we have used and we're still here so guess 70% alcohol is sufficient.
