Question:	Will this work with the freestyle lancets
Answer:	It worked fine with some old freestyle lancets I had on hand. I prefer the care touch brand as I am required to test at least four times a day and they seem to be less painful. I have reordered them three or four times now.

Answer:	Yes. The little round bit at the top covers the pin that pokes you. With the cap on place, push the Lancet into the Lancet device. Push it down until it clicks on place. Then, while holding the lancet, twist the cap off. Then put the clear Lancet device cover over it & lock it in place. You are now locked and loaded & ready to get a blood sample. Wash your hands & then get your meter ready. Once your meter is ready, place the loaded Lancet device against the tip of your finger (the side is less painful, than right in the middle). Press the trigger (small green button) to poke your finger then touch your test strip to the blood sample.

Answer:	This lancing device will not work with the One Touch Fine Point or with the Delica Lancets. It does work with the One Touch Ultrasoft lancets.

Answer:	Generally you don’t use the device at all on an ear. Use either the lancet alone or a syringe needle to poke the vein that follows the edge of the ear. (1/8” inside edge). Lightly poke/scratch the vein. You can also test on the pad of the dew claw. Use the lancet device normally for that location. It helps if the skin is warm too.

Answer:	O'WELL 30 Gauge Lancets are the ones the come with the device, but I find that my FreeStyle 28 gauge Lancets also work.

If you have thin skin, then a lower setting should be your choice but we recommend that you start with a higher setting and work you way down. So if you have really thick or calloused skin, your right settings would be # 5 on your lancing device and using a 26g lancet. Answer:	The Device will adjust to the needed amount of whole blood any meter requires. I do suggest when removing the lance to hold on to the spring mechanism at the head to insure a longer life of the lancing device. I have used several of these devices and would also suggest purchasing 2 of what ever device you choose. Backup device is a must. Bayer lancing devices are made for limited use and start to wear after several 100 uses. One person stated when it does start to malfunction its time to replace or have more blood then needed. I test 10-15 times a day and have gone through many different brands and they all break after time.
