Answer:	It really depends on your recipe. Yes, you absolutely can use this. It's similar to olive oil in how it behaves in that kind of recipe. Mixing this with sugar (or salt) will result in something very nice, no different than the oil-based scrubs with olive oil you find in the stores, except without the stuff you don't want in there. You could also use unrefined coconut oil, the kind you find in the grocery store that is solid at room temperature. Except that your screen name indicates you might live in the South, where coconut oil may be liquid at room temp because it's hot lol. That will create a creamier product, but one that is relatively unstable due to the fact that the oil can melt and re-solidify, causing the salt or sugar to clump at the bottom. If you want a creamy product, look to using whipped cocoa, shea, or mango butter, combined with fractionated coconut, argan, or jojoba, and of course your salt or sugar. Or finely-ground coffee... hmmmm...

Answer:	I have used this since Christmas 2013 and has done rice perfectly every time for me. White rice in 6 minutes (after getting to pressure- use warm water to get there faster) works just fine with a lower ratio than 2:1 water to rice. (I usually use 2 cups dry long-grain rice and 3.25 or 3.5 cups water). It will take longer for whole grains like brown rice, barley, etc, both of which I have done- just google cooking times for other grains and use the long end of the time range (since the pressure is not as high as an on-the-stove pressure cooker) on the high pressure cook setting. Perhaps the person who answered that the rice timer never started was using the valve setting for slow cook instead of pressure cook?
