Instead, please clean these parts with vinegar or a mild detergent. That being said, it is ok to pour a small amount of boiling water over the tap and non return valve, just don’t boil them for several minutes.We also prefer to leave our kits assembled for a cleaning, but they can be disassembled if this is your preference (particularly if you intend top boil the bucket and hose in water).To clean your bucket:1. Attach the hose to the bucket leaving all parts assembled. 2. Then, fill the bucket with either hot water and a little detergent, or hot water with white vinegar (use about half a cup of vinegar). 3. Once you’ve added the water, elevate the bucket and allow the water to flow. Open and close the yellow tap several times ensuring that all parts of the tap are cleaned internally.
