2. Add remaining oil to pan and stir in the meat, vegetables, and rice. Increase heat slightly and cook until the rice is golden brown and crisp in spots, 5–10 mins. Pour the soy sauce/water mixture over the rice, along with the ginger, if using. Continue cooking, stirring occasionally, until the rice has absorbed all the liquid, 3–5 mins. Stir in bean sprouts. Remove from the heat.
3. Cut the omelet in half and then into thin strips. Garnish each portion of fried rice with the omelet and serve warm.

This product is not raw cassava, it is cassava flour which goes through peeling, washing, soaking, drying and milling etc. We are also 3rd party tested like all flours to ensure its the best natural cassava flour available. - What is Cassava Flour? Cassava flour is made from cassava root, also known as yuca or manioc root from the cassava plant. It is comparable to yams, potatoes, taro etc. Cassava is native to Africa, South America and parts of Asia. Cassava flour is very fine, soft and has a near neutral taste. Real cassava flour should smell and taste like cassava.
- How is Iya Foods cassava flour made? Made from 100% cassava from same day harvests sourced direct from farmers. We utilize a state-of-the-art cassava dedicated facility only. We do not use any chemicals, we do not bleach, we do not alter the nature given goodness of cassava.
- Is Tapioca same thing as cassava flour? No. Cassava flour and tapioca flour are different things even though a lot of people use these two terms interchangeably. Tapioca is a starch extracted from cassava root while cassava is the entire root with all its nutrients and dietary fiber still intact. Cassava flour is the real whole food.
- How do you bake with cassava flour? You can swap cassava flour with any flour in approx. ¾ cup to 1 cup ratio (for fluffy recipes) or 1:1 (for thicker, more dense recipes). Depending on the recipe, we suggest you start with ¾ cup cassava flour to 1 cup if you are not sure about what works best for your recipe because it’s easier to add a little more flour i.e. ¼ cup more if needed.
- Is there cyanide in cassava flour? Not in cassava flour but in raw cassava there is naturally occurring cyanide, mostly in the peel which is removed. This is also found in almonds, spinach, apples etc. Cassava flour is not raw cassava, it has gone through peeling, washing, soaking, milling, drying etc. to turn into flour. The peeling, heat and drying process removes any cyanide. We also lab test cassava flour in-house and again with a standardized, certified, independent food lab for your confidence. Gourmet Pancake Recipe
Ingredients (4-6 Servings):
- 2 cups cassava flour
- 1 cup vanilla yogurt, 1 cup low fat milk, 2 eggs, 2 Tbsp oil or melted unsalted butter
- 2 Tbsp of pure grade Maple syrup
- 2 tsp sugar, 2 tsp baking powder
- ¼ tsp sea salt, ¼ tsp cinnamon
Instructions:
- Mix all ingredients in a mixer or bowl
- Heat up gridle or pan. Add some water if too thick or more cassava flour if too runny.
- Pour in griddle and leave for about 3 mins on each side till golden brownServe hot with your favorite toppings
Moist Chocolate Cake
Ingredients:
- 2.5 cups Cassava Flour
- 1 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1 cup honey or maple syrup, 1 cup mayonnaise
- ½ cup milk (can also use almond milk), 3 eggs, 1 cup sugar, ¾ cup oil or melted butter, 2 tsp baking soda, 2 tsp vanilla extract
- ½ tsp salt, 1 cup hot water (add this last carefully)
Instructions:
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Grease baking pan and line with parchment paper. Wet mix - Combine sugar and oil or butter until smooth then add all wet ingredients except the hot water(this comes last)
- Dry mix - Mix all dry ingredients including cassava flour, cocoa powder in separate bowl and then pour in wet mix in until smooth. Carefully mix in hot water (this is what increases cake moisture)
- Pour batter into pan and bake in the preheated oven until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean, about 30 to 35 minutes.Let cool & serve
Cassava Flour Tortilla
Ingredients:
- 1 ½ cups cassava flour
- ½ tsp. salt, ¼ cup olive oil, ¾ cup warm water
- Optional – ¼ tsp garlic powder for a nice flavor surprise
Instructions:
- Mix together all the ingredients until a nice dough begins to form. If dough is too wet, please add cassava flour, if too dry add a tbsp of water at a time till tortilla consistency
- Knead the dough until smooth and divide into six dough balls.
- Use a tortilla press or roll each dough ball between two pieces of parchment paper until thin
- Heat a nonstick skillet over medium high heat. Place tortilla on the skillet for about 1 min on each side and flip
- Remove, stack on a plate & cover to keep warm. Serve with your preferred fillings.

Product description
Our delicious, crispy and crunchy Casabi crackers are produced by the following ecological practices that protect the environment. They are free of artificial ingredients and preservatives. They do not contain gluten, wheat, fat, sugar, cholesterol, lactose, nuts, MSGs and are Non-GMO. There are no binders, starches, gums, or softeners. They have 4% fiber and they are enzyme-rich. Our packaging is made of KraftPAK, high-strength fibers renewable cardboard, valuable in the recycling process and certified biodegradable. Which makes us members of the “Partnership for Green Packaging” of I AM GREEN. Casabi crackers are ideal for the healthy and environmentally conscious consumer. They are artisan made and baked in an oven. With four individual sleeves of approximately 18 crackers, a total of 72 crackers to a box. To enhance the flavor even more we recommend to add a spritz of olive oil to the crackers and bake in the oven for 3-5 minutes on 350 Degrees. Shelf life of up to two years in the packaging. Once you open or bake them, they are good to eat for two weeks, stored in a plastic bag or sealed container. PS. Save crackers crumbs/granules for bread crumbs or panko.

We are trying to modernize every aspect of making Casabi products in the Dominican Republic. Answer: | Yes! These are basically the same thing as Mission Heirloom's "uncooked" Yucan Crunch Crackers. They are pricier, but Mission Heirloom is no longer in business. |
