User questions & answers

Question: Which one is kosher version
Answer: It pours easily straight from the bottle without having to add water. Just shake and pour (with caution of course).
Question: How much hotter is this than sudden death sauce
Answer: I have two unopened bottles of the "Fury" and one opened bottle of the "Rage" at the moment. The Fury is newer by a couple of months. The only difference in the ingredients list is that the Fury says "Cayenne Chilis" while the Rage lists "Cayenne Pepper" in the same space, otherwise the list is completely the same. By the way, the photo of the side of the box in this listing is also slightly different than the ingredients list on both types of bottles that I have, so it may be an old photo and another example of how these vary slightly over time.
Question: Is this stuff supposed to be too thick to pour without adding water to the bottle
Answer: There is 0 High Fructose Corn Syrup and only 1 gram of molasses and brown sugar.
Question: Is there a difference between mega death sauce with liquid rage and mega death sauce with liquid fury
Answer: ITS FOR A CHURCH HONEY

User questions & answers

Question: How many Scoville units is this
Answer: Winter temperatures do not change the excellent results of this product. With the recent snowfall it almost washed the solution off the food and the squirrels are back at the peanut feeders. I keep some in a spray bottle and do a quick few sprays right through the mesh. They are leaving the food alone. Love, love this product!
Question: What type of spray bottle do you use for red hot chili pepper formula
Answer: I don’t know. But, it covers a lot. I am pretty generous with it and a bottle still lasts more than five refills. My feeder holds about 3 gallons of feed.
Question: Do winter temperatures affect results
Answer: It tastes a burns a little like cayenne pepper, but there is definitely MORE spice. The burn is more like the serrano pepper. Dab the sauce for spice and flavor. If you use a lot you'll get a heavy burn and loose the flavor.
Question: How much birdseed does a pound of Cole's cover
Answer: I don’t know about rage or fire. I bought this as a gift for my husband. He says it’s very very hot. Which he loves . He doesn’t like anything else now. None of my kids will touch it. There chicken

1 Million Scoville Pepper Extract Hot Sauce, 4oz

Ashley Food Company

Based on 916 reviews Check latest price
  • Guaranteed to be 1,000,000 Scoville Units
  • Certified by HPLC A.O.A.C.
  • Add it by the drop to any recipe or for kicking up the heat of your Buffalo Wings
  • It will also keep animals from nibbling your favorite garden plants and shrubs
  • 4 oz bottle

User questions & answers

Question: what is the concentration? Does it take all 4 oz to equal 1 million Scoville units or is it 1 million per ml, etc
Answer: Scovilles are already a measure of how spicy the sauce is, which is specifically a concentration of capsaicinoids, not a quantity. So your question doesn't make much sense - 1 ml of the sauce is 1 million scovilles, and also 4 oz of the sauce is 1 million scovilles. If you add 1 ml of the sauce to 99 mL of something otherwise non-spicy, the result will be 10,000 scovilles. If you add 1 oz of the sauce to 9 oz of something otherwise non-spicy, the resulting food will be 100,000 scovilles.
Question: Is this in an oil, vinegar or alcohol base? I want to put it on my bird seed and the Cole's Flaming Squirrel sauce isn't hot enough
Answer: The capsecum chemical is dissolved in oil. It is insoluble in water. The claim to 1,000,000 units is misleading. As soon as it is mixed with anything, heat declines dramatically. How much depends on how much it is diluted. Powders on the other hand remain particles mostly, and behave differently. In my opinion, powders or chopped are vastly superior.
Question: Does this come with a dropper
Answer: No. That is a problem because when it is full and you pour it some WILL run down the bottle. Wipe that off immediately! If even a microgram of extract stays on the side of the bottle then you will get some on your fingers every time you touch the bottle to move it Just those few molecules WILL cause problems later if you ever rub your eyes or use the restroom. I know from experience.
Question: What are the ingredients
Answer: One part Devil's tears, two parts Devil's blood and 3 parts Hitler sweat. Yeah, this stuff is hot enough to be poison!!! Good luck.

What it Takes to Make an Extract

While hot sauce can range from mild to earth-shattering hot, a pepper extract hits an entirely new level when it comes to scorching heat. After all, it’s the stuff that military and police-grade pepper sprays are made of; so this stuff is off the scale hot! For this reason, you can’t exactly top off your meal with an extract. Instead, it’s used mainly as a food additive during cooking. Even if you go this route, though, you have to use that pepper extract in a small dose, for a little goes a long way.

Pepper extracts are exceptionally hot because they’re made up of either pure dried chili peppers or a blend of dried peppers and essential oils. Pure capsaicin comes in at 15 million on the Scoville scale, meaning extracts can hit a range that doesn’t even compare to your average bottle of hot sauce. Basically, you get the extract by submerging dried peppers, either dried by you or already dried, in alcohol, drawing out the pepper’s oil. You can use any type of hot pepper you want, but a hotter pepper results in more capsaicin, meaning you don’t have to use as many peppers. A milder pepper takes a lot more peppers to achieve the desired amount.

Of course, this is just a simple way of explaining the process, as it’s actually not advised you do the extraction yourself unless you really know what you’re doing. You definitely don’t want to touch the product with your bare hands, risk getting anything in your eyes, nor do you want to deal with the fumes. That’s because pure capsaicin is not only highly irritating but it can also be dangerous. Luckily, it’s easy to find an array of sizzling pepper extracts already on the market. Just remember, we warned you they’re extremely hot!

Cooking with hot sauce and extracts

If you think hot sauce is just an ordinary condiment to top off food, think again! Sure hot sauce makes a great topping, but it can also add some great flavor while you’re cooking. In fact, adding some hot sauce or hot pepper extracts into the mix while cooking can be a great way to infuse flavor into just about any food. If you’re not too sure about how to do it, we have some great ideas to take you from snacking to dinnertime.

When it comes to appetizers, try mixing some hot sauce into ordinary dips. Traditionally bland cream cheese or mayo always tastes better when you add in some heat. You can also try mixing in hot sauce to stuffed peppers, mushrooms or eggplant, or simply adding it into the mix when you’re making meatballs or burgers. Of course, chili is pretty great too when you stir in some extra spice. From fiery egg rolls to casseroles, just about anything on the menu tastes better when you take it up a notch in flavor. Just remember that when it comes to some of the hottest hot sauce on the planet, a little usually goes a long way. You may want to start small, and then add in more and more hot sauce to increase the flavor gradually.

Another option is to use a pepper extract. Keep in mind, though, extracts can be insanely hot! Only use the extract as an additive, and only use it in small doses. It works well in things like a stir-fry, plus soups and chili. There’s really no limit when it comes to infusing hot sauce and hot pepper extracts into mealtime. Whether you try some of our great recipes or create your own, just be creative and enjoy!

User questions & answers

Question: Could I mix this with an oil paint to use on plastic sprinkler stands to stop squirrels from chewing
Answer: It is made to be mixed in with foods, I dont recommend mixing in with a rub for sore muscles, it has no heating affect to the skin unless applied to sensitive areas and even then it is a burning affect not heating
Question: I'm looking for a clear hot sauce to put on wood and furniture to deter puppy chewing. Is this clear and hot enough
Answer: I dont see why not. I use it for a lot of foods dry and wet.
Question: Is this oil based and able to be mixed in small amounts to a muscle rub/ balm for a heating effect
Answer: I don’t know how well this sauce mixes with paint, but it sounds like it is worth a try. Plus, you have given me an idea on preventing squirrels eating from my bird feeders
Question: Can this be used in cocktails
Answer: Searched the net & does not specify a type of vegetable oil

User questions & answers

Question: What are the nutrition components
Answer: sorry...It isn't vegan
Question: Which one is hotter the red or black
Answer: This bottle is 200g, I measured out a packet because I was curious about the same thing. 1 packet was about 30g.. so this bottle is only about 6.6 servings if you are trying to match the packet.
Question: Is it vegan
Answer: I don’t think you’d need to mix it into the paint. Just apply after the paint has dried. It should stop them, or give them an affinity for spice.
Question: How many packets of sauce is this bottle equivalent to , meaning how many original noodle servings is in this bottle exactly
Answer: It has a slight red hue. if undiluted it would cause significant pain for a couple hours. I suppose you could mix a drop with furniture oil to dilute it. Keep in mind there is a chance of cross contamination especially if children touch the bottom of the furniture and then touch their eyes. I use this for off label purposes as well and cross contamination is a definite problem.
