We've tried all the alternative pastas: corn, quinoa, brown rice, chickpea (huge yuck) et al, and I'm so happy with Bentilia. I did buy a case of green lentil elbows and I'm having a hard time getting them to cook properly without overcooking and I don't remember that issue with the variety pack but I'm chalking it up to operator error. I really love that you're getting extra protein with lentils rather than empty carbs. I don't think these would be great as buttered noodles, but served with sauces or in a pasta salad, this product is wonderful. Best wishes! |

Answer: | It sounds like you have cooked it to long - don't boil any longer than recommended on the box. Also it should not be chewy after refrigerated - thinking again you cooked it to long. Salt to cook is optional but I find that sea salt works better than salt |
