Fettuccine is a type of pasta that is popular in Italian cuisine. It is known for its flat, wide shape, which is similar to ribbon-like noodles. Here are some key details about fettuccine:
Ingredients: Fettuccine pasta is typically made from durum wheat semolina and water. Sometimes, eggs are added to the dough, creating a richer and slightly yellow color.
Shape and Size: Fettuccine noodles are flat and wide, usually about 1/4 to 1/2 inch (6-12 mm) in width. They are thicker than linguine but not as wide as pappardelle.
Origin: Fettuccine is believed to have originated in central Italy, particularly in the regions of Lazio and Emilia-Romagna. It is often associated with Roman cuisine.
Cooking: Fettuccine is typically boiled in salted water until it reaches a tender yet slightly firm texture, which is known as "al dente." Cooking times may vary, but it generally takes about 8-10 minutes.
Serving: Fettuccine is versatile and can be served with a wide range of sauces. One of the most famous dishes featuring fettuccine is "Fettuccine Alfredo," where the pasta is coated in a creamy sauce made from butter and Parmesan cheese. It's also commonly served with various meat, seafood, or vegetable-based sauces.
Variations: There are different variations of fettuccine available, including whole wheat fettuccine for those seeking a healthier option. Spinach or tomato-flavored fettuccine, which incorporates vegetable purees into the pasta dough, is also popular.
Pairings: Fettuccine pairs well with a variety of ingredients and flavors. Some popular combinations include shrimp fettuccine, chicken fettuccine, mushroom fettuccine, and even lobster fettuccine for a luxurious twist.
Storage: Fettuccine, like other dried pasta, should be stored in a cool, dry place in an airtight container to maintain its freshness.
Cultural Significance: Fettuccine is a beloved Italian pasta variety and is often featured in Italian-American cuisine. It has gained popularity worldwide and is a staple in many kitchens.

Product description
De Cecco gently grinds the heart of each grain, mixes it with cold spring water, then kneads the dough slowly. This results in pasta with the exceptional de Cecco aroma, flavor, and consistency. Pasta easily cooks to perfection, has a great firm texture, and a delicious “fresh” pasta taste. It has a rougher surface, which helps the sauce stick to it. Since 1886 we have liked our pasta to be bronze drawn and slowly dried because we like it to fall into the plate full of taste, rough and always "al dente". Even though our taste has not changed, as we feel the same love for tradition, we have continued to improve our production technologies. Make de Cecco pasta the secret ingredient for your most amazing dishes.Buon Appetito! Fettucine are part of the long, flat pasta family. Question: | Is this pasta ORGANIC? I checked the "Organic" label while searching, but the neither the packaging nor the description seems to include this feature |
Answer: | It’s actually a 2g of net carbs a 13g of fat. 11g total carbs - 2g of fiber = 9g of carbs. To those you need to deduct all sugar alcohols (eritrhitol) so, 9g - 7g of erithritol = 2g of net carbs. Total Keto. |
Question: | How many net carbs |
Answer: | there is 140 cal per serving. a serving is 6 pcs so, 140 cal / 6 pcs....or 280 for the entire bag (2 servings) |
Question: | Please correct me if I'm wrong... Digestive resistant cornstarch? Meaning, it won't digest and just sit in your stomach |
Answer: | Hi There, Yes, it's soy free! |
Question: | Why is it called Carba-Nada when it has so many carbs |
Answer: | Whole Foods has keto cookies. Some grocery stores in cities have them too. Depends on your area and whether they sell well or whether the manager thinks they'll sell well. You can try requesting them, and a store might start carrying them. |

User questions & answers
Question: | Is It Microwave Safe |
Answer: | Hi, the package states : Total Carbohydrate 38g ---13% ---hope this helps. |
Question: | what are the carbs of this product |
Answer: | The 10 oz package states 5 servings. That translated to 2oz. The rough view of the package would indicate about 1.5 cups from a 2 cup measuring cup. Some parts of the cup a little more while other parts of the cup a little less with the over all 1.5 cups. Its a great product for us and worth the effort to eye ball the "how much" going forward for ease of use. We like to boil it for 10 to 12 minutes for a softer noodle. We boil the entire package and keep the unused portion in the refrigerator for several days to use with other proteins. Note my 12 oz package is 10 oz, but still worth the price over conventional pasta. |
Question: | It says 1 serving is 1.5 cups dry. How do you measure it since it is not long and straight like regular fettuccine noodles |
Answer: | Has eggs. Does that count? |
Question: | Is this noodle vegan |
Answer: | I don't know. The stuff tends to be natural for the most part. |
