I have been using Kiva Manuka Honey lately and emailed the seller, Kiva Health, asking if their honey is completely unheated and where the honey is being shipped from. They chose not to answer. I have since switched to East Cape Te Araroa brand sold by Koru Naturals. They ship their honey through Priority Mail with cold packet enclosed to minimize exposure to heat. They are responsive to all questions and concerns. I have NO affiliation with any company. Answer:	This product is not UMF or MGO certified. Do not spend your money on this one. It is only close to an equivalent of 3 UMF (still not certified though).

Answer:	No, it’s not. It has no certification by UMF or MGO. The 24+ bio activity rating is something they created that is misleading to buyers. In my research on their website they actually show that 24+BA is close to an equivalent of maybe 3 UMF. Definitely not therapeutic levels. Basically, it’s expensive regular honey. It's thick, and it tastes good, but not likely the manuka honey you’re looking for.

Answer:	I think the numbers have to do with activity and potency. Below 10 is low end of medicinal strength and below 20 is mid strength. Some people can have sensitivity to strengths about 20.

Manuka honey is a mono-floral honey, so-called because the bees that make it gather pollen from the Manuka bush (Leptospermum Scoparium). The plant is indigenous to New Zealand, beekeepers set up their hives in wild uncultivated areas in which Manuka bushes grow. TA Active is a commonly used rating system that predominantly measures the naturally occurring peroxide activity in honey.

Answer:	I can't speak from personal experience since I don't have acne scars and have not used Manuka honey for this purpose.
