Plus, this fryer actually has a drain, so, when the oil is cooled down I can place a food-grade oil filter directly in the neck of the oil bottle and drain out the filtered oil to use the next time. If you have ever had to empty a deep fryer without a drain then you know what a mess it is. Cheaper deep fryers, like Hamilton Beech, etc., don't keep a good hot oil, which is one of the reasons I got rid of my old one and bought this one. This one is a breeze to clean out.
