Answer:	I keep my twin size one under the sheet. It shifts around a bit even then. For that size you could sew or clip something on the corners to fasten to the mattress. Not sure about the smaller ones. I suppose it depends on how much your son moves around in bed. These are just like the ones they use in the hospital. I've cut up both sizes and refinished the edges to go in my dog crates and pens. Huge improvement over the disposable pads.
