Answer:	I don't know the answer to that question. All I know is that these were the worst peanuts I have ever purchased. I am a peanut lover and I thought I was getting a good product. I was wrong; it was like trying to eat pebbles--they were just that hard. Save your money and buy Planters peanuts; they are WAY tastier.

Over 40 years ago, in the heart of Colonial Williamsburg, a small business owner began roasting peanuts in the back of her retail store leaving the front of the store for retail sales. In this shop our cooking process and recipe were perfected, and this this small business has grown into what we know as The Peanut Shop of Williamsburg brand today.

There are four types of peanuts available in the United States, the Virginia type being the largest.

The Peanut Shop of Williamsburg specializes in the Super-Extra Large variety of Virginia Peanuts; the highest market grade available. These are peanuts grown mainly in Virginia and the Carolinas, and less than 3% of all Virginia peanuts grown meet the standard to be considered Super Extra Large!

Using the original recipe, our peanuts are prepared in small batches by our Roastmaster and go through the unique process of blanching and then are gently cooked in pure peanut oil with no additives or preservatives added to alter their natural goodness. This process makes the Handcooked Virginia Peanut unbelievably crisp and delicious, setting the standard by which all fine peanuts are judged.

Question:	What is the difference between handcooked salted pnuts and the dinner salted
Answer:	I'm not exactly sure I understand your question, but I will tell you what I know. Our Virginia type peanuts are grown in Virginia, North Carolina or South Carolina. Virginia peanuts are a type of peanut known for their large size, crunchy texture and flavor. (other types of peanuts are runners, Valencia and Spanish). At FERIDIES, we only select the largest 2% of the Virginia type crop - ensuring we get the largest peanuts available in the crop. Virginia peanuts are planted in May and harvested in September/October. We then roast our Virginia peanuts in small batches (by hand in small cookers - not large automated cookers - so we can ensure the high quality of each batch) in pure peanut oil (and then they are lightly salted).
