Fig balsamic vinegar is a type of flavored balsamic vinegar that combines the rich, sweet taste of figs with the traditional flavor of balsamic vinegar. This combination creates a unique and versatile condiment that can be used in a variety of culinary applications. Here are some key points about fig balsamic vinegar:
Ingredients: Fig balsamic vinegar is typically made from high-quality balsamic vinegar, which is aged and concentrated to develop its characteristic flavor. To create the fig flavor, natural fig extracts or pureed figs are added to the vinegar.
Flavor Profile: Fig balsamic vinegar has a sweet and fruity flavor with hints of tartness from the balsamic vinegar base. The figs contribute a unique depth and complexity to the taste, making it a popular choice for both sweet and savory dishes.
Uses: Fig balsamic vinegar is a versatile ingredient that can be used in a variety of ways in the kitchen. Some common uses include:
- Salad Dressing: It can be drizzled over salads, especially those with mixed greens, goat cheese, and nuts, to add a sweet and tangy flavor.

- Desserts: Fig balsamic vinegar can also be used in desserts, such as drizzling it over ice cream or mixing it into fruit compotes.
Quality: The quality of fig balsamic vinegar can vary, with some producers using real figs and aging the vinegar for an extended period, resulting in a more complex and flavorful product. Higher-quality versions tend to be more expensive.
Storage: Like other balsamic vinegars, fig balsamic vinegar should be stored in a cool, dark place, away from direct sunlight. Properly stored, it can have a long shelf life.

Question: | How much sugar per serving |
Answer: | According to the label a serving is 1 tbsp. “Sugars “ are 9g. |
Question: | Why does the bottle not say Terra Verde |
Answer: | I purchase all of my olive oils and balsamic vinegars from Texas Hill Country Olive Company and have toured their facility in Dripping Springs, Texas. Some bottles are labeled Terra Verde and some aren't. It's the taste that matters, and these are the finest. |
Question: | What is the acidity of this product. I'm looking for 6% acidity |
Answer: | Our balsamic has an acidity of 4.2% which we think has a smoother and richer taste than a balsamic at 6%. |

User questions & answers
Question: | In the descriptions the vinegars are called "certified organic" but there is nothing on the bottle labels. Certified by who? Why not on bottle |
Answer: | I don't know why not on the bottle. The bottle says "all natural", and "PGI certified using the traditional Solera Method". What I do know is that it is the best I have tried, by far. Excellent taste, and maybe because it is 18 year barrel aged, it retains a perfect taste over time(not that I let it last very long). Hope that helps. |

User questions & answers
Question: | How long has this product been aged before bottling |
Answer: | In Italy, the only balsamic that can state age is a DOP product. These run at a minimum of 12 years and require the approval of the Consortium there. In keeping with these rules, we are not able to state the specific number of years aged. I can, however, give you some extra info on the pre-bottling aging process. This balsamic is a Balsamic Vinegar of Modena - balsamic that is aged in wooden casks. This balsamic has been aged in Oak barrels with the minimum eighty percent concentrated grape must and aged red wine vinegar. With this high quantity of grape must, you'll find a balsamic that is wonderfully sweet (no added sugars) and with a great thickness. This 16 fl oz balsamic is a great mix of quantity and quality such that you have a deep viscosity that will work well for a salad and cling right on to meats, cheeses, bread and more. If you are in the hunt for a DOP certified balsamic, look for a 3.4 oz bottle with the specific certification from the Italian consortium. This is the one size they'll come in and typically range around $150-250 per 3.4 oz bottle. If you're thinking of a balsamic for every day and weekly use, we'd be happy if you gave our product a go. If you are not completely satisfied, we are happy to help you. |
Question: | is this contain alcohol |
Answer: | No. There is no alcohol in Blazing Bella Balsamic (Barrel aged traditional, 250mg). I have many of their balsamic vinegars and they are all delicious. I wouldn't even consider purchasing another brand of balsamic vinegar. Blazing Bella is the best!!! None of their balsamic vinegars have any alcohol. |
Question: | What are the ingredients |
Answer: | For the traditional: 100% Balsamic Vinegar. Scroll through product images to see Nutrition Facts - at the bottom of that image, the ingredients are listed. |
Question: | does the 8.5 oz sampler come with a pourer |
Answer: | Yes, each 8.5 fl oz bottle comes with a built-in plastic pourer. |
