Answer:	These help the same way a program like Nutrisystem would help, by calorie reduction (but I think they taste better than Nutrisystem and I like that I recognize all the ingredients). I have found them satisfying and have been using them to lose weight by reducing my calories. I also use the app My Fitness Pal to record and count my daily calorie intake. The HMR meals have helped me to stay on a 1200 calorie diet for the past 1 1/2 months. I just went to the doctor this week and I have lost 15 pounds so far. These meals alone will not cause you to lose weight if you are not watching what else you are eating. For example if you have a piece of bread and butter on the side, there goes the calories.

At El Monterey, good food always goes hand in hand with family. And it has since 1964, when Fred Ruiz made his first enchilada with his father, Louis.

Like many family businesses, El Monterey started off small. Fred would make the food every day using a small mixer and his mother’s recipes as inspiration. The food was then stored in a chest freezer in a 500-square-foot 'warehouse' until Louis, who handled sales, took it out for delivery.
