13 best jm bamboo house plants
JM Bamboo is a seller known for offering live bamboo house plants, which are popular choices for indoor decor due to their unique aesthetic and relatively easy care requirements. Here's what you need to know about JM Bamboo house plants:
Bamboo Varieties: JM Bamboo typically offers various bamboo species suitable for indoor cultivation. Lucky Bamboo (Dracaena sanderiana) is one of the most common types. Despite its name, it's not a true bamboo but is often grouped with them due to its appearance. Lucky Bamboo is known for its spiral or braided stalks and is believed to bring good luck and positive energy.
Care: Bamboo house plants are relatively low-maintenance. They thrive in indirect or low light conditions, making them suitable for indoor environments. They are typically grown in water or soil. When grown in water, the container should be filled with clean, distilled water to prevent mineral buildup. If grown in soil, it's essential to use a well-draining potting mix.
Watering: Bamboo plants should be watered regularly but not excessively. It's essential to keep the water level consistent, especially if they are grown in water. Ensure the roots are submerged, but avoid overfilling the container.
Container and Decor: JM Bamboo often provides these plants in decorative containers or vases, enhancing their aesthetic appeal. These containers can be chosen to complement your home decor.
Maintenance: To maintain the health and appearance of your bamboo house plant, periodically trim any yellowing or damaged leaves and clean the container to prevent algae or mold growth in water-filled containers.
JM Bamboo typically offers a selection of bamboo house plants for purchase, making it convenient to add a touch of greenery to your indoor space. When ordering, pay attention to the specific care instructions provided by JM Bamboo to ensure your plant's well-being and longevity.

User questions & answers
Question: | Will leaves split eventually? I received solid heart shaped leaves. The plamt is about 18" tall |
Answer: | Yes they will with time. Mine took a couple months but I now get huge split leaves from this plant |
Question: | If I order one of these will there be centipedes in the soil |
Answer: | Mine had a ton of ants in the soil! When I opened the box, the ants were in top of the packaging and then all over the plants themselves. |
Question: | I repotted it and the bottom leaves keep turning yellow and die off. What should I do |
Answer: | Overwatering--the main killer of houseplants. If top is wilting, needs water. Yellow wilted lower leaves--too much water. When it needs water, try watering with diluted herbal tea--the only fertilizer I use. And do it with love š |
Question: | Do the leaves of this plant drip a lot of water? I want to replace an elephant ear that is on my wood floor because it drips constantly |
Answer: | Iāe had this plant about 8 months now and its doubled in size and is so easy to take care of. Nothing at all drips on this plant. I donāt believe it ever should. This plant is also on a hardwood floor and Iāve never had to wipe up anything. Really a gorgeous plant and if I had another location to place one Iād definitely get one. Also very impressed by the place I purchased it from. This was my first experience purchasing a plant online and it was a wonderful experience. |

Question: | Itās a gift should I remove the plastic wrap |
Answer: | Rubberized fabric very very comfortable |
Question: | can i propagate this plant |
Answer: | I would say they have a pretty good arch support. |
Question: | Can this plant survive hanging outside in summer |
Answer: | No. I have arthritis in my toes so that's why I got these. I don't have to grab with my toes. They get a little stretched out after the 1st week or so but they have 3 different straps with Velcro so you can adjust the tightness around your feet so they stay on well with out grabbing. I bought 2 pair. I bought a pair last year for the 1st time & they were so comfortable, I wore them all winter in the house with socks. These Clark's have a different & softer sole than the other Clark's. I broke my ankle about 10 years ago & it's difficult to find any shoes that are comfortable. These are by far the most comfortable shoes I own. |
Question: | Do these come rooted |
Answer: | Vann it stay up through the winter |

Answer: | it was sent as a gift so I have no idea sorry |
Question: | I live in phoenix, az (zone 9b). could i plant this outside in a shady area |
Answer: | Yes |
Question: | How big is it |
Answer: | I bought mine in a 6" pot (like this one) from another source (Home Depot) about 18 months ago. Including the pot, it was about 12" tall. It is now about 2 feet tall and about 2 feet horizonally. It grows quickly with minimal care. |
Question: | Can i hang this plant near a floor heater vent? It would be about 5 feet from it |
Answer: | The plant gets pretty tall. You may want to reconsider hanging it unless you have high ceilings. One of mine is on a table about 3 ft. off the ground and a couple of feet away from a floor vent. It looks good, so I assume the heater isnāt an issue. These plants are very tough. |

Question: | Can the stalks be separated / can each bundle be separated (I'd like to make separate gifts of 3 stalks each |
Answer: | Yes |
Question: | What is the size of the circumference of each stalk |
Answer: | It isn't stretchy at all. But, it's really designed to hold things GENTLY. It's very padded. More like to help vines trail up a trellis. I don't think it's the right product to hold ornamental grasses, but it is a wonderful product to have on hand. My neighbor loaned me hers to use on a small.plant. I ended up using it for several things and bought us both a new one! |
Question: | can the bamboo be shipped in freezing weather |
Answer: | I'd recommend standard 14 or 16 (maybe even 18) gauge solid (not stranded) electrical wire rather than this. The electrical wire comes in various plastic sheath colors and you can get it at any home improvement or hardware store. Those will hold up to repositioning a lot and hold it's shape better. |
Question: | Will these arrive with a good rooting system, or shall I expect very little rooting from this Seller? Thank you, in advance, for your answer |
Answer: | I use with net pots for orchids. I use a small craft wood burn tool to put holes in top band of net pot and holes in plastic clear pots. I make the hole towards the rim on opposite sides of the but down far enough it wonāt be weak then I use soft cushion wire as a rhizome clip. Just run it through one hole, up and through the leaves to hold the rhizome in place and through the hole on the other side. You can snug it pretty good and leave extra length because you can just twist it and bend over. I also use it to tie the white plant tags on to my plastic pots. I take everyday plant tags or the ones that come from the grower, use the wood burn tool to make a hole in the tag, and then in the pots. Use this soft tie to thread through and I attach the tags. I always put a tag on the pots and then also slide one into the pot too. It is soft, doesnāt damage and is handy on smaller pots that I would have to shorten metal rhizome clips or make a new one. It has been on some pots st least 2 years without issues. When I repot, I always have a bucket with enough water to cover the pots, accessories, even the plants for a shorter time with rot, my hands, tools, etc. i use 3 gal bucket with 1 tablespoon per gallon of Physan 20. Soak pots for 10 minutes. Plants usually only go in this strength (no Erwinia rot) |
