A bulb syringe is a medical tool commonly used for various purposes, including earwax removal, nasal aspiration, and oral hygiene. In the context of ear care and health, bulb syringes are often used for earwax removal. Here's what you should know about bulb syringes:
Design: A bulb syringe typically consists of a soft, rubber bulb attached to a narrow, tapered nozzle or tip. The bulb is squeezable and serves as a suction device.
Earwax Removal: Bulb syringes are often used to remove excess earwax (cerumen) from the ear canal. To do this, you would gently squeeze the bulb to create suction and insert the nozzle into the ear canal. Afterward, release the bulb to create a vacuum that can help draw out the earwax.
Safe and Non-Invasive: Bulb syringes are considered a safe and non-invasive method for earwax removal when used correctly. They are less likely to cause injury compared to cotton swabs, which can push earwax deeper into the ear canal.
Cleaning: Before and after use, it's essential to clean the bulb syringe thoroughly. This helps prevent contamination and the spread of bacteria.
Nasal Aspiration: In addition to ear care, bulb syringes are used for nasal aspiration in infants and young children. They can help clear mucus and congestion from a baby's nasal passages when they are unable to blow their nose.
Oral Hygiene: Some bulb syringes are designed for oral hygiene, particularly for cleaning a baby's mouth and gums. They can be used to gently rinse the mouth after feeding to help prevent tooth decay.
Availability: Bulb syringes are widely available in pharmacies and online retailers. They come in different sizes to accommodate various applications.
Caution: When using a bulb syringe for earwax removal, it's crucial to be gentle and cautious. Do not insert the nozzle too deeply into the ear canal, as this can potentially damage the eardrum or push earwax further in.If you experience pain, discomfort, or suspect an ear infection, consult a healthcare professional.
Alternative Methods: While bulb syringes can be effective for mild cases of earwax removal, more severe or impacted earwax may require professional intervention. Healthcare providers may use specialized tools or techniques for safe and effective removal.
In summary, bulb syringes are versatile tools commonly used for various health-related purposes, including earwax removal, nasal aspiration, and oral hygiene. When used correctly and cautiously, they can be effective for managing earwax buildup and providing relief from nasal congestion, especially in infants and young children. However, if you have concerns about earwax or any related health issue, it's advisable to consult a healthcare professional for guidance and appropriate treatment.

User questions & answers
Question: | Does ANYBODY know the antioxidant content when brewing one single bag? The Bigelows don't respond on their website, twitter, facebook, etc |
Answer: | Green tea contains compounds called catechins (a subset of a group of compounds called polyphenols) that in test tube studies show antioxidant, anticarcinogenic, antitumorigenic, and antimicrobial properties. The main catechin found in green tea is epigallocatechin gallate (EGCG). Consumer Lab did a study on many popular green teas and found Bigelows to have 25.0 mg EGCG and 60.9 mg total catechins. Bigalow organic and decaf green teas were higher. This compares to Lipton Green Tea that had the highest of all tested at 71.1 mg EGCG and 188.1 mg total catechins. Hope this helps. |
Question: | Is this organic |
Answer: | I am not sure. I know Bigelow has a good reputation in the market. |
Question: | What is the country of origin for this tea? Where's it grown |
Answer: | I only drink the Earl Grey Green Tea. The Bergamot oil comes from Calabria Italy but nothing is mentioned where the green tea is grown. Sorry |
Question: | pack means 6 boxes with 40 tea bags in each |
Answer: | 6 packs means 6 boxes with each box containing 20 individually wrapped bags. I have ordered this MANY times. |

Answer: | Thank you for your question! We can confirm that the filter paper used for our tea bags is 100% natural, but it is not certified organic. We use a non-heat sealable filtration paper made from a select blend of high quality manila hemp (abaca) fibers and wood pulp. This paper is oxygen bleached using a natural process free of chemicals or toxins. In addition, our tea bag filtration paper does not contain GMOs, gluten, corn nor any of the eight FDA recognized allergens (tree nuts, peanuts, milk, eggs, fish, crustacean shellfish, wheat or soybeans). We hope this helps! |

Answer: | Each pack of Yogi contains 16 tea bags. What I order is 6 of these packs in a box. So you would get 6*16 = 96 tea bags that is good for about month and half on average of 2 bags a day use. so I've setup subscribe and save for every 2 months. |

User questions & answers
Question: | Are any of your green teas from Japan |
Answer: | Thank you for your question. We have updated our brewing instructions for this tea to the following: Brew 1-2 tsp (2g) in 8 fl. oz. of 170-180°F water for 1-3 minutes. Tea must be brewed at a minimum of 170°F for at least 1 full minute. We recommend using an infuser for brewing; remove it prior to drinking. If you have any additional questions, please reach out to us at [email protected] and we would be happy to help! |
Question: | Is this tea certified kosher |
Answer: | Yes! I've made my tea this way for years. You will need to experiment a bit to find out how much tea to use to get the strength you want. Good Luck! |
Question: | Has anybody tested this for lead lead content? due to high pollution, consummables from china likely have high lead content even if "usda organic |
Answer: | Hi. I would say it's very broken pekoe, but it's not itty bitty pieces or fannings. So, while it's not the gourmet tea I personally import from China, I like it for the price. Sometimes I can't afford the TOL stuff. I like it as a budget tea. Of course I would drink golden monkey every day if I were made out of money. I have been happy with all of the loose stash teas. Robert |
Question: | Is this tea from china or japan |
Answer: | This answer also appears on other Stash products on Amazon, so to avoid confusion, if buying the Stash Kopili Estate loose-leaf tea, it is only from the Kopili tea plantation, in Assam, a state in northeast India, often called the foothills of the Himalayas. It is a full-bodied black tea, and production methods for black teas vary, from air-cured to roasted, hand processed or machine packed, fannings (used in bags or sachets), broken leaves or whole leaf teas, tips included or not. |

Product description
Founded in 1972, Stash Tea Company originally operated out of an old Portland Victorian style house, supplying loose herbal teas and bulk herbs to natural food stores. Starting in 1975, the company broadened its focus to include bagged teas and then began to sell a full line of traditional, specialty blend and herbal teas directly to fine restaurants and through a mail order catalog to consumers. Today, Stash Tea Company is one of the largest specialty tea companies in the United States. The company derives its name from an entertaining aspect of tea folklore. In earlier centuries, tea was a valuable commodity traditionally transported by clipper ship. The ship’s captain often was presented with some of the finest teas for his personal use. This supply was his “stash,” stowed carefully as his “private reserve.” Today, the term is still used to denote anything put away carefully because of its preciousness.
- Premium Green Tea: We grow our green tea in our own tea garden and process it the same way Japanese Green Tea is processed; This traditional premium tea brews up a high quality bright golden green cup
- Premium Loose Leaf Tea: From herbal, black, and green to white, or oolong, our premium loose leaf teas are made with tea, herbs, and spices from around the world, blended in Oregon
- Find Your Flavor: With over 150 teas to choose from including loose leaf, iced tea, green tea, decaffeinated black tea, chai, herbal teas and more, you're sure to find your next favorite with Stash
- Proud To Be A B Corp: We believe diversity and boldness should be in our community and society, as well as in our cup; As a certified B Corp we act in the best interests of our people, partners, and planet
- Stash Tea: Brought to life in 1972 by 2 Portland hippies, we believe that tea is an opportunity to excite the senses and surprise your taste buds with a diverse range of bold flavors
User questions & answers
Question: | The instructions say do not boil the water too long before adding the tea because it will result in a flat taste. Why is that? Thanks |
Answer: | I would say no. The leaves are tightly wound. The hot water unravels them. I steep in hot for 20 mins. I don't think you would get much flavor in cold. I have however brewed it hot and then iced it. It's good that wayou too. |
Question: | Silly question but can I use this in a coffee maker with a filter |
Answer: | The leaf tea was hand rolled into pearl (ball) shape. Therefore, it is call pearl. Gunpowder green is the tea color. The tea is not bag packed, it sells as loose tea in a can. |
Question: | What grade tea is this? Whole leaf? Broken pekoe? Do they look like leaves or is this mostly crumbly and grainy |
Answer: | My experience has been positive. I have ordered this tea on several occasions and have always received a consistent quality product which was well shown in the the photo reprentation. |
Question: | What is a country of origin for this tea |
Answer: | Not a real standard to tell but the rule of thumb is 35 to 40 mg/8 oz cup, I measure by teaspoon 1-2could be more or less |

Question: | Do you have a list of all ingredients in this product? Also is this GMO free, pesticide free, and does it contain artificial flavors? Thanks |
Answer: | It is amazing! I was forced to go decaf because of a medical condition. I DO let it brew for a longer time to get the best cinnamon spice flavor. They recommend 3-5 minutes I think? I brew at least 10 minutes. Hope they never stop making it! I’m seriously addicted to it! Hope you enjoy it as much as I do! |
Question: | Anyone eat the tea? I was thinking of putting it in my morning smoothie |
Answer: | You might want to contact Harley & Sons, Customer Service, (888) 427-6398. |
Question: | Does this product contain caffeine? On a scale from 1-5 is there a rating for the level of caffeine it has |
Answer: | There was but right now they are looking for a good Decaf black tea base. They have been out for over 6 months. They are recommending the Herbal Hot Cinnamon that is naturally caffeine free until it is replaced. |
Question: | I just received a bag of gunpowder green tea organic and i can’t seem to find the expiration date. where is it? thank you |
Answer: | There are no carbs in any of the Harney and Sons Teas. |

User questions & answers
Question: | Are the tea bags individually wrapped |
Answer: | The only ingredient is green tea. If it is certified organic, that means it is GMO free and pesticide free. There are no artificial flavors as there is no flavoring. It's just straight tea. I do know this, this is a very inferior product and I would NOT order it. I would find another supplier. |
Question: | Is this tea caffeine free |
Answer: | Check out this link / https://www.google.com/search?q=what+happens+if+you+eat+dry+green+tea+leaves&rlz=1C1EJFA_enUS791US791&oq=what+happens+if+you+eat+dry+green+tea+leaves&aqs=chrome..69i57j0.13460j0j7&sourceid=chrome&ie=UTF-8 |
Question: | Is this a 2 pack with 100 tea bags or a pack of 2 100 teabags (total |
Answer: | Unless an individual tea has been tested there is no way to know the caffeine content. There is a good article on this at http://ratetea.com/topic/caffeine-content-of-tea/21/I also don't know what you want me to compare this tea to in your 1-5 scale. Coffee? Other teas? Other green teas? Soda?OK, so having said all that, I make an extract of this tea by steeping it for hours and then straining it - so this is quite concentrated. I use the extract as a mouthwash which I swish around and then swallow. I have not noticed any stimulant effect so my guess is this tea is relatively low in caffeine. If you're curious about making a green tea extract or using it as mouthwash, I wrote a page on it here: http://www.greendept.com/maximpulse/health/extracts_and_mouthwash.html |
Question: | How much caffiene does this tea have per bag |
Answer: | generally speaking green tea is good for 6 months. My bag has no expiration date. I have never bought tea with expiration date that I know of so I use the 6 months rule from the time I open the bag. |

Answer: | I assume there is because it does not state that it’s caffeine free, normally coffee products and two products state clearly that they are caffeine free if there is no caffeine in the product so I’m assuming there is caffeine in this green tea. Not sure if I’m just immune to caffeine but I don’t feel the same effects from it as I would if I had a strong cup of caffeinated coffee, I actually have had this green tea and did not have trouble sleeping |
Question: | what are the ingredients |
Answer: | Reading from the box: "Ingredients: Organic Green Tea produced exclusively for No Limit , LLC; NEWMAN'S OWN, INC., WESTPOINT, CT 06880, Certified Organic by QAI, 2018 No Limit, LLC visit NewmansOwn.com for more food information" I drink green tea myself and wanted to try a different brand. I'm no expert, but I like it and also like that all their profits go to charity. |
Question: | Is this product made in USA |
Answer: | Tea is not grown in the USA, and it may not be packaged here either. So. at best it must come from somewhere in Asia. The package does not specify but most likely Zeijiang Province, China, as most green teas are grown and processed there. |

User questions & answers
Question: | are these teas organic |
Answer: | I do every day. I brew a cup for myself using about 1 1/2 tablespoons on the tea. I steep it in about 4 cups of almost boiling water. I’ll steep it for about 3-4 minutes and fill my travel cup. I then add more water to my tea pot and let that steep for another 5-10 minutes. I strain it and chill for iced tea. It’s wonderful. So I get a full cup of hot tea and about 4-5 cups of iced with each steep. |
Question: | Truly organic? latest bag does not say organic on it, the order prior to this one did say organic...what gives |
Answer: | No, they're finely cut; out of all the companies that sell loose-leaf sencha green tea, this is one of the best; flavorful after only 30-second brewing. |
Question: | What do you store your loose tea in |
Answer: | That's a little difficult to answer, but I think I get at least 40. It depends upon how strong you want your tea to be. I like to mix this tea with just a little bit of Oolong. I make a small pot that gives me two mugs of tea and I think I use about a tablespoon of Sencha and half a teaspoon of Oolong. I like my tea on the mild side. The last time I bought a big bag of organic Sencha and I refilled this container. I have enough left in the bag to refill this again. I hope this helped! |
Question: | Are these full leaves, or are they ground down so that you have to use a strainer/filter |
Answer: | Our Lychee green tea has a Japanese green tea base as well as our Japanese ceremonial grade matcha. |

User questions & answers
Question: | What is the country of origin |
Answer: | Gunpowder tea traditionally made in China, it got its name from the shape of tea leaves rolled into a pellet. In China it is called zhu cha (pearl tea). In China this tea has many grades of quality - from the cheap at 1 dollar a pound to very expensive aged tea to 1000 dollars a pound. Tea could be contaminated w lead and other toxic chemicals or could be totally clean. Tea made for export usually is different from the one for the domestic market, since it is specified for the requirements of each country. Teas specified to the U.S. standards are generally clean or organic, so no worry! :) |
Question: | stems |
Answer: | No stems |
Question: | How do you prepare this tea? Do you need a brewer or some type of cloth wrap |
Answer: | I have learned the best way to brew this tea is: 1. Heat water to 180 degrees (too hot will not give optimal flavor and will diminish the antiox. benefit) 2. steep for 4 mins (too long will cause the bitterness of the tannins to come through) 3. pre-warm the cup (I rinse the cuop under hot water before pouring the tea into it. This may sound complicated but it isnt once you have a method. I drink 36 ounces every morning before work....I love this tea. |
Question: | How many cups i can make out of one bag |
Answer: | Depends on exactly how much tea you use per cup. This has been my wife's everyday tea for almost two years now and normally make it one teaspoon/cup. I was surprised by the wide range (50-300 cups) of answers and all the guessing that led to them so I did the math. I weighed a teaspoon of tea using my kitchen scale and came up with an average of 2.33 grams. The bag contains 453 grams of tea. 453/2.33= 194 cups of tea per bag |
