Answer:	If ordered directly, the coffee is roasted per order and sent the day of or the day after. If coffee is ordered from an Amazon warehouse, you must anticipate lead time for the coffee to be shipped from our facility to the warehouses.
Question:	My ? is this. Does this really taste like coffee
Answer:	If you've only had American commercial grocery store brand coffee... You probably don't even know what real coffee tastes like. Not only do the grocery store brands burn every bean they get they soak them, literally, in vats of antifungal chemicals, then they dry it with heat, store it in silos and the government (FDA) regulates that they have to coat every bean with more chemicals every so often during storage. They back store so much coffee it sits for years. Then they grind it with metal grinders, seal it up and store it again... for years. The most recent study I saw about the average coffee bean Americans drink is something like 5 yrs old by the time it gets in their cups. So don't expect this Chiapas coffee or any of the organic REAL coffee you are inquiring about to taste anything like that typical American coffee. Most Americans scorch their water too which also drastically harms the flavor of coffee. French roast is overdone in my opinion. Too much heat. It burns the bean. I've been a coffee connoisseur for about 25 yrs. Even I was surprised at the "different" flavor of Chiapas, Mexico coffee. After a while it's all I wanted and I drank ONLY Chiapas for almost 2 yrs. Now I'm back to Papua, New Guinea being my ultimate favorite and Chiapas my second. Your question is like asking does beluga caviar taste like real caviar because you've only had the caviar on sushi at the All-You-Can-Eat Chinese Food Buffet. You can't get any more REAL than Free Trade Organic high mountain whole bean hand selected and roasted coffee from a village of people whose ancestors consumed coffee over 1,000 yrs before the rest of the world ever heard of coffee. Lima, Oct. 12 (ANDINA). The town of Naranjas, located in Peru’s northern Andean region of Cajamarca, produces one of the best coffees in the world due to its aroma, flavor and quality, reported US satellite and cable television business news channel CNBC. Sunshine in your cup, grown by farmers of the APPROCASSI Fair Trade Group from Cajamarca province in Peru. Which means you’re not just getting an excellent coffee, you’re supporting sustainable farming, too. The coffee crop is cultivated in between trees so it is shielded completely from the sun. The Peruvian coffee is grown completely in shade. The beans are picked over a period of five months, i.e. May to September by hand. The next step, pulping, is also done by hand after which the beans are stored in huge fermentation tanks which helps in cleaning them. Lastly, the coffee beans are transported to the market where about 80 percent is exported. The farms where the coffee is grown are small, about 2-3 acres each where the farmers work hard to uphold the amazing quality of the crop using exclusively indigenous methods. Each farm is equipped with a micro-wet milling system which is yet another effort to keep Peru free form any type of chemical pollution. Full City Plus, a few snaps into 2nd crack, was nice, chocolaty, but more one-dimensional. The wet aroma has heather-like flowers. At that magical roast level, at City Plus, the cup has a fantastic milky chocolate, almonds, coconut. It's like a candy bar! Question:	Does freezing the beans keep them fresher
Answer:	That is a great question! It is a release valve. When coffee is roasted, we want to put it in a bag right away to preserve freshness. However, roasted coffee releases carbon dioxide. If the bag was sealed without a hole, it could expand and burst open due to the carbon dioxide release. The valve let's out the carbon dioxide and releases the pressure. The valve also does not allow oxygen into the bag. Oxygen takes away from the freshness of the coffee. So the valve is designed to let out carbon dioxide but not let in oxygen. Question:	I have just purchased unfrosted green beans. How to clean them? What is recommended method of making coffee from the green beans
Answer:	Thank you for the question...we love this question! You might already know some of this but we wanted to put a bunch of information down in case other customers are also curious. Average pH of standard coffee is about 5.155. Depending on the caffeination level you choose of Mommee Coffee, our pH levels range from 5.8 to 6.0 (6.0 is the decaf). However, there are two important things to note: 1. Our premium beans are roasted in a proprietary roasting machine that lowers the acid content of the coffee. We have extensively tested our coffee and not only is it four times lower in acid according to pH levels, it also has less than half the chlorogenic acid as compared to typical coffee. Chlorogenic acid is considered the culprit behind acid reflux. 2. On the pH scale, a pH of 7 is considered neutral. Moving to a pH level of 0 is more acidic and moving towards a pH level of 14 is more base. The really interesting thing is that each whole pH value below 7 is ten times more acidic than the next higher value. For example, a pH of 4 is ten times more acidic than a pH of 5 and a hundred times (10 X 10) more acidic than a pH of 6. We hope this answer helps. I read the reviews before I purchased the 5lb bag and someone said they would get the smaller bag if they could do it again so I took their advise and got the smaller bag and I'm glad I did. It's good coffee but not the Simatra Coffee I'm used to. The beans were fresh and oily and good. I gave it 3 stars because it's agood average bean, in my opinion. Good luck!

Once you taste truly fresh-roasted, naturally flavored coffees...you'll become a Coffee Junkie for life, and I'm OK with that! Why it's important to grind just what you need just before you brew? Coffee stays fresh in the bean form for 3+ months. If you grind your coffee it is best brewed within 1 month. So, if you are a real coffee junkie and want the freshest coffee on the planet then you will want to grind and brew, grind and brew and so on and so on... Brew coffee like a real Coffee Junkie at home Invest in a coffee grinder. Grind your coffee according to your brewing method. Basic rule of thumb is if you use a filter the grind is not as crucial as if you brew without a filter. Grind 3 tblsp of coffee beans for an 8oz cup of coffee. If you prefer a bolder cup add a bit more coffee. Prefer cold brew? It's a piece of cake to make! Course grind 8oz of Coffee Junkie coffee and place grounds in a coffee filter tied with a twist tie and in a pitcher. Pour 1 gallon of filtered water in the pitcher. Refrigerate over night or up to 24 hours. Remove the coffee ground pouch and voila... cold brew that is as close to perfect as damn is to swearing! Answer:	Same for me. The decaf is “off” and does not have a good flavor. The coffee tasted old and stale. Their others regular coffees are excellent.

Answer:	Yes I find it very low acid. I am intolerant to acid coffee beans and was delighted to find this.
