Some popular Starbucks coffee blends include Pike Place Roast, Veranda Blend, and Espresso Roast.
Roast Levels: Starbucks offers coffee beans in different roast levels to cater to various taste preferences. These include light roasts, medium roasts, and dark roasts. Light roasts tend to have a brighter and more acidic flavor, while dark roasts are richer and more robust.
Single-Origin Coffees: Starbucks also offers single-origin coffee beans that are sourced from specific regions or countries. These beans highlight the unique flavors and characteristics of the coffee grown in those areas.
Blends: Many Starbucks coffee beans are blends, which means they combine beans from multiple sources to create a balanced and distinctive flavor profile. Starbucks is known for its expertise in crafting complex coffee blends.
Packaging: Starbucks coffee beans are typically sold in bags with various sizes, ranging from small to larger quantities. The packaging is designed to keep the beans fresh, often featuring a one-way valve to release carbon dioxide while preventing air from entering the bag.

Product description
Every espresso beverage we handcraft for you begins right here. Our master roasters coax the beans along, the heat taking them deep and dark, for a recipe for caramelly sweetness so right it's never been changed. The quest began in 1975 with a search for the perfect melding of beans and roast, ending months of intense experimentation later with the coffee you're holding in your hand.
- Espresso Roast is intense, caramelly sweet and perfect with steamed milk
- While we've updated our look and how we describe our tasting notes, Starbucks Espresso Roast is still the same rich and caramelly, great-tasting coffee you know and love
- Enjoy the Starbucks coffee you love without leaving the house
- For finest taste, always use clean, filtered water; clean your machine before using; and grind beans just before brewing
- Each pack includes a 20-ounce bag of whole-bean Starbucks coffee
User questions & answers
Question: | Hi may I Know the expiration date of this please |
Answer: | I don't see why you couldn't mix milk with it, but it is a very mild, gentle tea, no harshness whatsoever. Unless you just like milk with your tea, it really isn't necessary. |
Question: | Is this coffee used to make their mochas at their coffee chains |
Answer: | Yes |
Question: | Which blend do they use for their iced coffees |
Answer: | Yes, their instructions are quite vague. Optional First Step: heat the pot (which you are going to brew the tea) with hot water. Let this sit briefly to heat up the pot (1 minute is fine) then pour out the water you used to heat the pot. This is done just to heat the pot, not tea involved. Note that this step is more important if you are using a clay, porcelain, glass or metal pot to brew your tea. Second Step: Boil water then wait until temperature drops to 170 to 185 Fahrenheit (76 to 85 C). Third Step: Add tea to pot, then pour your water over tea to steep. Fourth Step: Steep tea between 1 and 4 minutes. Pull tea bag out. Their tea is quality enough you can usually get 3 different steepings from 1 bag. Note: You can try different temperatures (between 170 and 185) and different steep times (between 1 and 4 minutes) to see where you like your tea. I prefer mine steeped closer to 175 for 2 minutes on the first steep then 170 for 1 minute for the next two steepings. |
Question: | What is the shelf life of this coffee -- the recommended use by date -- compared to the shipping date |
Answer: | approx, 4 -3/4" high x 3-1/2" wide Hope that sufficiently answers your question. Best tea I have ever had |

User questions & answers
Question: | Does the package show either use by date or expiration date |

Question: | How much caffeine does a cup of this brewed coffee contain |
Answer: | I don't know, but guess it would be the same as most medium roast coffees. |
Question: | how does 1 lb of coffee have a shipping weight of 9.6 oz? Light blend |
Answer: | That is a listing error. The package is 1lb and the shipping weight should be 1lb 6oz. |
Question: | Are these beans or already ground |
Answer: | Whole beans. Anytime it says "whole beans" or "bean" in the title it should be beans not grounds |

User questions & answers
Question: | Why is the packaging brown instead of the way it is advertised in white? Am I getting different coffee or what? Please advise |
Answer: | The packaging of the Starbucks Italian Roast Coffee was brown in the display from which I ordered. Brown was the only color that I saw when I placed my order on March 10, 2014. Perhaps Starbucks has changed the package color. |
Question: | Are these beans oily? I am wondering these are suitable for super automatic machines |
Answer: | These beans are very oily. We grind them pretty fine and use them in a Mr Coffee machine. |
Question: | Could u please tell me the expires date of this product? Thanks |
Answer: | I looked at the bag this morning and there is not an expiration date on the bag. This product is whole coffee beans so I have to grind it. What I can tell you is that the bag that the beans were place in has a copyrights date of 2013 which should mean that the beans are no older then perhaps 7 months or so. The coffee is delicious and that's what really matters to a coffee drinker. Hope this helps. |

User questions & answers
Question: | How Many Calories In It |
Answer: | There is no caloric content information on the packaging. According to the Mayo Clinic, black coffee usually has less than 5 calories per 8oz serving. Thanks for asking. |
Question: | What is the “please enjoy before date |
Answer: | This date represents: the product is best if used by or before this listed date. Basically the product stays fresh until this date passes. |
Question: | How is the flavor profile in comparison to say just a Sumatra Blend |
Answer: | I love Komodo Dragon AND I love Sumatra. But given the choice I would most likely pick the Komodo. I think of Sumatra as a Berry kind of flavor...Komodo is not. But I have no comparison for its flavor. Try it! I believe, if you like Sumatra, you will like it! |
Question: | Is there an expiration date |
Answer: | It doesn't say "expiration", but the package I received last week has "please enjoy before" date of October 8, 2016. |

Veranda Blend
In Latin America, coffee farms are often run by families, who've built their own homes on the same land where their coffee grows. We've sipped coffee with these farmers for decades, sitting on their verandas, overlooking the lush beauty of the coffee trees out in the distance. Most times, it was a lightly roasted coffee like this one. It took us more than 80 tries to get it right—mellow and flavorful with a nice softness.

Years of focus and expertise have led to the Starbucks Roast Spectrum. Each coffee bean requires a unique balance of temperature and time to reach its individual peak of aroma, acidity, body and flavor.
