11 best organic ground coffee
Organic ground coffee is a popular type of coffee that is grown, processed, and ground using organic methods. It falls under the broader category of coffee, which is a widely consumed beverage made from roasted coffee beans. Here are some key points about organic ground coffee:
Organic Certification: Organic ground coffee is made from coffee beans that have been grown without the use of synthetic pesticides, herbicides, or genetically modified organisms (GMOs). To earn the "organic" label, coffee producers must adhere to strict organic farming practices and undergo certification by relevant organic certifying bodies.
Growing Practices: Organic coffee is typically cultivated using sustainable and environmentally friendly practices. This includes using natural fertilizers, maintaining biodiversity on coffee farms, and conserving water resources.
Health Benefits: Many consumers choose organic ground coffee because it is perceived as a healthier option compared to conventionally grown coffee. It is believed that the absence of synthetic chemicals in the growing process may result in a lower risk of pesticide residues in the beans.
Taste and Flavor: The taste of organic ground coffee can vary depending on factors such as the coffee bean variety, region of cultivation, and roast level. Organic coffee is known for its rich and robust flavors, with tasting notes that may include fruity, nutty, or chocolatey undertones.
Roast Levels: Organic ground coffee is available in various roast levels, including light, medium, and dark. The roast level significantly influences the flavor and aroma of the coffee, with lighter roasts typically having a more delicate flavor profile and darker roasts offering bolder, smokier notes.
Ground Coffee: Organic coffee beans are typically ground to various consistencies to suit different brewing methods. Common grind sizes include coarse (for French press), medium (for drip coffee makers), and fine (for espresso machines).
Brewing Methods: Organic ground coffee can be used with a wide range of brewing methods, including drip brewing, pour-over, French press, espresso machines, and more. The choice of brewing method can impact the taste and strength of the coffee.
Fair Trade and Sustainability: Many organic coffee brands also emphasize fair trade practices, ensuring that coffee farmers are paid fairly for their labor. This commitment to social responsibility is an important consideration for consumers concerned about ethical coffee sourcing.
Packaging: Organic ground coffee is typically available in a variety of packaging options, including bags, cans, and even single-serve pods. Sustainable and eco-friendly packaging is a focus for many organic coffee brands.
Storage: To maintain freshness, it's important to store organic ground coffee in an airtight container in a cool, dark place away from direct sunlight and moisture. Proper storage can help preserve the flavor and aroma of the coffee.
Organic ground coffee provides consumers with a choice that aligns with their preferences for organic and environmentally responsible products. When shopping for organic coffee, look for reputable brands that display organic certifications on their packaging to ensure you're getting a genuine organic product.

Peet's Coffee Organic French Roast, Dark Roast Ground Coffee; Our favorite beans for this deepest roast are from the leading Latin American origins, such as Guatemala and Colombia, where high altitudes enable coffee cherry to mature more slowly, becoming denser, harder, and packed with flavor. To grow organic coffee is a commitment to environmental stewardship despite an inevitably smaller yield. Where conventional farming benefits from carefully formulated nutrients, organic farming is local and labor intensive, with resources like natural compost, fashioned on the farm. It’s more work to produce less coffee and we’re happy to support the extra effort. Enjoy this meticulously grown, deep-roasted coffee that is a bold dedication to flavor, farm, and future.

User questions & answers
Question: | Is Newman’s ground gluten free |
Answer: | 2 Tablespoons = 1oz; assuming you use 2 T (1 oz) per cup of coffee, you will get 24 cups out of this bag. |
Question: | is this the same coffee as the "Bold" K cups |
Answer: | I just keep it it my pantry closet. After opening, we keep it in an airtight container. I don't know how long it will stay fresh, it never stays around here long enough to go stale! It's great coffee. |
Question: | Is this caffiene and acid free |
Answer: | I do add a little cashew milk to my coffee ... that's it. It just didn't have the richness and flavor I like. |
Question: | What process is used to decaffeinate this coffee |
Answer: | Hi PetarB, thanks for your purchase! Fresh roasted coffee requires a degassing valve that allows the naturally occouring CO2 to escape the bag, while not letting any oxygen in. We roast to order, in multiple small batch roasters, and fill the bags immediately after roasting, so if we didn't use a degassing valve, the bags would puff up and possibly rupture.Coffee that is packed without a degassing valve must sit for several days before being packed, and a "Nitrogen Flush" is often used to keep the packaging from "exploding." This type of coffee is usually very inexpensive, is produced in large volume, and is meant to sit in warehouses, distribution centers, and store shelves for a very long time (months and even years).Hope this helps. Thanks again for your purchase, we really appreciate the support.Darron "Don Pablo" Burke |

Enjoy the great smooth taste of the Puroast Coffee's Organic French Roast Coffee. The bold, strong taste is complimented with a smooth finish. Puroast Coffee's french roast combines a full bodied, strong coffee with no bitter aftertaste. If you like coffee, want a great tasting coffee, that will make "feel better, not bitter" - Drink Puroast Coffee. Wellness in Every Cup! The coffee beans you have at home start out as a pea-green seed from a cherry-like fruit. In fact, if you chewed a green coffee bean, it’d taste pretty much like chewing a dried pea. But, everything changes after you roast this green coffee seed (and separates it from peas!). Magic From Heating Roasting is really the heating of this seed until it looks like you’re used to seeing in the store or at a coffee shop On the outside roasted beans are either darker, lighter, shinier or duller comparing one to another. But, it’s what’s inside that makes coffee such an attraction to us mortals – aroma, taste and the chemistry inside, including caffeine. And it’s these “insides” of Puroast Coffee that set it apart from every other coffee you can buy. Roasting at Puroast It turns out there is a connection between how coffee tastes, how bitter or smooth it is, how much acid it has and it’s antioxidant content, and how the coffee is heated during roasting. Puroast roasts just like they do on the hacienda, unlike any other coffee in the country. That’s why Puroast tastes and makes you feel so good. It’s that simple!
- 70 LESS ACID: Our low acid coffee is perfect for all coffee lovers, especially those with heartburn, acid reflux and other gastrointestinal issues. Whether you like your coffee organic, decaffeinated, french roast or in a k-cup pod, we offer a variety of single serve, whole bean and ground coffee
- 7X HIGHER ANTIOXIDANTS: It turns out there is a connection between antioxidant levels and how coffee is heated during roasting. Published research from UC Davis shows that Puroast coffee has 7X the antioxidants of green tea and 5X the antioxidants of leading coffee brands
- PURE TO THE POUR: From our humble origins in the foothills of the Andes Mountains, Puroast's secret to crafting smooth, rich coffee is rooted in roasting the way that coffee growers do. We roast for quality, not volume, and never use any additives or extractions
- FEEL BETTER, NEVER BITTER: Take on the daily grind with a smooth, aromatic cup of coffee that tastes great and makes you feel good! Our unique roasting method creates a low-acid blend that won't bother your stomach and has no bitter aftertaste. We also use renewable, clean technology to fire our roasters
- QUALITY IN EVERY CUP: Not all coffee is created equal. Our high elevation grown coffee beans are sustainably sourced, kosher and chemical/pesticide free, so you can feel great about what you're drinking while gaining relief from coffee-related digestive issues

Tiny Footprint Coffee, the world’s first carbon negative coffee. Through a unique collaboration between Roastery 7 and the Mindo Cloudforest Foundation, one an Artisan coffee roastery and the other a nonprofit conservation organization, the two teamed up to create the ultimate combination of good karma. So, how is our coffee carbon negative you might ask? It’s simple, really. It takes 4 lbs. of CO2 to produce and distribute 1 lb. of our coffee. For every pound that’s sold, we donate a portion of the proceeds to fund reforestation in Ecuador’s Mindo cloud forest. Over time, these trees will remove 54 lbs. of CO2 from the atmosphere. You see? More CO2 removed than emitted. Our reforestation efforts along the Northwestern Andes of Ecuador help to plant native tree species throughout the Mindo Cloud Forest region in heavily deforested areas. These trees not only sequester massive amounts of carbon from the air, but also provide habitat to hundreds of local bird species, reinforce soil conservation techniques, and rebuild water tables. The Mindo Cloudforest Foundation works directly with local landowners to provide jobs related to the care and redevelopment of the cloud forest. Making coffee great takes time, effort and passion. At Tiny Footprint Coffee, we pour endless hours into sourcing the finest, sustainably-grown Arabica coffee beans from around the world. Beans that are not only shade-grown, but also organic certified, and most often fair-trade or Rain Forest Alliance certified. We also purchase coffee from small, family-owned farms that are not fair-trade eligible, yet grow some of the most beautiful, best tasting coffees on the planet. We do all of the roasting and training from our roastery in Minneapolis, MN where we’re working hard to make the entire roastery carbon negative – from fully bio-degradable coffee bags, high-efficiency lighting and fuel-efficient ribbon burners on our roaster, to composting coffee grounds and reducing waste around the shop.

- GROUND COFFEE: 100% Organic Shade-Grown Arabica Coffee
- PRODECOOP uses its proceeds to bring improved living standards to its growing membership and fund programs in medical care, education and environmental sustainability

How we roast
Here’s how we make our uniquely smooth blends: we start with better beans. Our beans are 100% Arabica and sourced exclusively from Latin America. Once we’ve sourced the beans, our master blenders create better blends for an easy, approachable taste. We ensure total consistency by insisting on rigorous quality checks throughout the process. We don’t just taste the stuff once or even twice. We stop and sample the beans at three crucial steps. From there, we use our special roasting expertise to create a surprisingly smooth taste. All that passion and hard work create an exceptionally smooth cup of coffee that’s flavorful and approachable.
