1. Remove the portafilter from the group head.
2. Clean and dry the portafilter basket with a dry cloth.
3. Switch on the grinder and dose 20 grams of coffee.
4. While grinding, collapse and groom the grind to optimize coffee distribution and remove any pockets of air that may be present. Halfway through the dose, apply a light, downward tap to encourage no air pockets and promote even distribution.

Espresso Brew Guide: Brew Prep

1. Keeping the portafilter perfectly straight when tamping is critical. Take a firm grip on your tamper and evenly distribute weight in a perfectly straight, downward motion. Tamping pressure is light at first, then slightly firm. Once you feel full resistance, you have applied enough pressure. Gently lift the Tamper out from the packed bed of coffee and wipe any grinds that may be on the top edge of the basket.
2. Purge the group head thoroughly with hot water.
3. Lock in the portafilter and immediately start running the shot.

1. Time is important. If the portafilter sits locked in but with no water flowing, it will begin to cook the coffee and result in burnt/bitter espresso.

Answer:	Yes, the Half and Half Black Tea & Lemonade does have stevia extract. But the Peach Black tea, the Raspberry Black tea and Tropical Fruit Herbal tea do not have any sweeteners. (I should have checked all the labels before my first response.)

Instructions on the back say pour boiling water over one tea bag and steep for 10 minutes and then add three cups of cold water. This should still be on quart per tea bag and 8 quarts per box, unless you prefer a weaker tea then you may get more per tea bag.

Answer:	There's a few factors that could cause 'static' in the coffee grounds. Moisture in the beans, which is a natural phenomenon indicating the freshness of the coffee. Also, you'll find more static activity on all blends during low humidity periods of the winter. Conversely, summertime or more humidity or moisture in the air leads to less static. Answer:	Hi, my name is Sarah from San Francisco Bay Coffee. Coffee beans naturally release oils; the darker the roast, the more oils are present. This is also an indication of freshly roasted coffee. The Hurricane Espresso is a darker roast. For beans less oily you can select a lighter roast, such as our Breakfast Blend. Carob

Carob pods, harvested from a wild tree native to the Mediterranean, are lightly roasted to bring out their sweet, chocolatey flavor.

Answer:	Hey there! If you're finding your shots to taste sour, we recommend adjusting the grind size a few notches finer. This will slow down the flow of water through the coffee bed and will increase extraction of flavor from the grounds. If you adjust it and find the shot to then taste bitter, split the difference between your original grind size and your new grind size. The goal is to find that sweet spot where the shot tastes sweet and balanced.

Answer:	Hello, We use only the water process to decaffeinate our beans. The water process uses water from the pristine environment off of the coast mountains of British Columbia, Canada to gently remove the caffeine until the coffee beans are 99.9% caffeine-free. This method is 100% chemical free.
