Answer:	My Samsung S2 does work with my LTG V40 phone, so I don't know if they need to write new apps for this watch, it may have a newer version of the proprietary operating system. One thing about the proprietary operating system is that Samsung can control the quality, just the way Apple does with it computers, tablets and watches. But if Samsung is not paying attention to the shortage of apps, that may annoy many who used the many apps for the S2. The user who reported that if you have the LTE watch, you can't use the watch for phone calls unless your phone is on. They did not say how close the phone has to be, but if it has to be very close, that defeats the whole reason to get the LTE watch. So if you leave your phone on a charger at home, will the watch work miles from your home to get calls, and make calls? There are a lot of unanswered questions that keep from from upgrading my S2 to a S3. I have zero complaints about my S2, but it looks like I would be upgrading to a watch that does half, or even less of what my S2 can do. Call Samsung and ask them about which phones it will, and won't work with, then post and update to your review so others will know.

It does not have the ability to call the parent phone, since it is serving as a wireless extension. The S2 did have the ability to call the parent phone thus serving as an independent phone unit. No "smart " watches appear to have this ability any longer.

Question:	are the bands interchangeable
Answer:	Yes it takes any 20mm watch bands.
Question:	Can you get notifications from 3rd party texting apps like Textra? Or just from Samsung text apps
Answer:	Assuming it's the same as Gear S2, yes, you can receive messages from third party SMS apps (I'm using Textra right now), but you can only reply from the watch if you use the default messages app on your phone.
Question:	How far from your phone can you be and still get calls and text
Answer:	About 30 feet like any Bluetooth device. However if your phone and watch are connected to the same Wi-Fi network you can be anywhere in the building and the watch will stay connected to the phone remotely.
Question:	Has anyone tried this swimming yet? I'm a big swimmer and I'm curious how this works
Answer:	I've had mine for almost 2 years and have been in the pool swimming easily 100+ times (work at a pool). Ive also had it in the salt water at least 20+ times snorkeling and free diving. I just make sure to wash it off good when coming out of the salt water.

Question:	Ivwork in a heavy industrial area, and was wondering how durable and scratch resistant it really is
Answer:	I work with my hands all day long, haven't had an issue with durability of it, but I'm not in an imdustrial environment. With my day to day activities haven't had a problem with scratches really. I'd make sure to get a screen protector though. Also, I bought a stainless band to make the watch look a lot nicer than the leather band it came with.

Answer:	This IS the AT&T 3G version. Without service, it functions nearly identical to the standard wifi/bluetooth version. It is slightly larger and heavier than the standard wifi/bluetooth version though.
