Answer:	Good question. From center of vesa plate to center of mounting plate is 2 1/2 in (fully collapsed).

Answer:	I had mounted it on the side of a kitchen cabinet over our bar and had no problem with it moving in any way. My wife positions it when she is in the kitchen while doing odds and ends and has no problem with it staying in the position she has selected. We love it.
Question:	I don't have a 4mm drill bit, nor does any of my friends. What size drill bit can I use instead
Answer:	4mm / 25.4 = .1574" so a #21(.159") standard drill bit would work.
Question:	Does this allow for quick rotating from landscape to portrait, or does it require tools
Answer:	Just don't tighten the nut down all the way, and check it periodically. I rotate my 23" monitor in and out of portrait/landscape mode at least once a day, and abuse the heck out of the arm itself by constantly pulling it in and out of position. I basically only pull out the arm if I need the second monitor, put it back away to clear the space and talk to someone at my desk, pull it back when I go back to work, then rotate it to landscape at night when I want to relax, playing a video game. It gets put back to portrait when I put it away entirely for the night. Once or twice a year I check and tighten anything that's gotten loose. Seriously a nice mount, keeping in mind that mine is anchored to a solid-wood pine hutch on my desk, rather than sunk into drywall. (And, yes, I realize this question is old, but maybe it'll help someone.)

If you were to use a different method of locking the bar in place and did not have a heavy television attached it would not be difficult to raise and lower. Though the television will stop the bar from raising if it is attached to a finished ceiling. The top of the television will hit the ceiling before the bar reaches the highest setting.

Answer:	I just got this and what they are shipping now does not match the picture - it has the same model number though so they must have changed it. It only tilts 25 degrees (listing shows it tilting 360 such that it could tilt towards the ceiling). and it does not rotate to portrait (2 bolts holding the Vesa plate).

Answer:	16.5 inches leg to leg when fully opened / extended.

Answer:	You have to use tools to attach or detach the TV to the mount. I purchased a Ergotron-Quick-Release-Bracket-60-589-060/ which made attaching or detaching the TV convenient.

Answer:	I would think that in the lowest position you should be able to. I have a 65" one mounted and have no problems in the higher position.
Question:	At it's lowest setting, what is the distance of bottom tv screen to the floor...inches
Answer:	It mainly depends on your TV. If the mounting bracket is closer to the bottom of your TV, it will seem to be mounted relatively high. If the bracket is towards the middle or top (height-wise), it will mount lower and you may have the luxury of being able to adjust up or down. I have a 75 inch LG and at the lowest setting, the bottom of the TV is still nearly 36 inches above the floor. Sometimes I wish it could be set lower.

Answer:	Horizontally, yes, depending on the width of the TV, but only along the bracket up to the sides.

Answer:	Yes, just make sure about the TV inputs on your TV. If the HDMI inputs are on the back of the TV then you need more room for the cables or buy 90 degree adapters. If there are at the bottom or side inputs you can install as close to the wall as possible.
Question:	Can I mount the tv in a recessed area...ie does the tv have to slide onto the bracket from the side, or is it attached from the front
Answer:	This model did connect from the front. The main frame attatched to the wall and the brackets once attatched to the tv just dropped on to the frame. As far as a recessed space, you need to be able to access the rear of the tv once it's on to secure it safely... so keep it in mind. It really is a low profile mount so watch your space!
