The functionality of multiple A/V components in one compact unit: the D-VR670 from Toshiba. While the combination of a DVD player and a VCR gives you the ability to enjoy audio and video from a variety of sources, bi-direction dubbing lets you transfer video from DVD to VHS, or vice versa. Integrated digital and analog tuners allow you to receive over-the-air television content without a separate converter box, and when combined with DVD-recording capabilities, make it possible to record TV programming to DVD. Use the D-VR670's video-upscaling technology to enhance standard-definition DVD video to near-HD 1080p levels.

User questions & answers
Question: | does this dvd/vhs recorder/dubber work with pal format vis tapes? trying to convert my pal vis tapes from dubai to dvd and its not eve playing the tap |
Answer: | DO NOT KNOW WHAT A PAL FORMAT VIS TAPES ARE. I HAVE NOT TRIED TO DUB MY VHS TAPES TO DVD WITH THIS RECORDER |
Question: | When I switch channels while recording to DVD, the result is that each channel is recorded instead of just the channel I set up for reco |
Answer: | Do you have your program recording set up in the timer programming mode? I hadn't used mine in 5 years and couldn't remember if I could watch other channels while it was recording. That is the key and then hit timer set which turns the unit off but it turns on to record at the time you have it set. If you're just hitting record after you turn it on then it would probably do what you're experiencing. I couldn't get access to the DVD mode recently and had to unplug the unit to reset it. Can't believe what this goes for now! |
Question: | Will this machine record from live cable broadcasts |
Answer: | It has a coaxial input as well as s-video input and RCA type input jacks. There are no HDMI inputs, however it has the ability to output HDMI to a TV. Depending on how you wish to use this, I would suspect that with the various jacks you surely could record standard signals just not high def. |
Question: | My son has very old shows/movies he bught on vhs and want to convert them to dvd will this work on vhs' purchased as opposed to home video type vhs |
Answer: | Yes |
