Answer:	Generally, the player takes what's on the disc and makes a screen presentation that will be acceptable. If the disc is "standard dots per inch" that's what ends up on the screen. No player can make display information that isn't on the disc. THIS player can interpret a blue ray 4K disc and put all the info on the screen. ( I personally do not own a blue ray 4k disc as of yet, but all my dvds look good on my 4K TV.) There are no switches needed.....it's all thankfully done electronically. JSM

Answer:	I'm not sure if its connects via USB - I usually connect all my blu rays players with HDMI cables as the quality is W A Y better. But one lesson I learned the hard way is that not all HDMI cables are the same. When you go to the store to pick up an HDMI cable they have cheap ones for 5 bucks and some that are like 40 bucks. Don't buy the cheap one!

Answer:	The question is, does your TV have 2D and 3D capability or is it only 2D capability. If it is only 2D capable then you only need a 2D player. If you google the TV model number specifications it will give the answer.
