Answer:	Generally, the player takes what's on the disc and makes a screen presentation that will be acceptable. If the disc is "standard dots per inch" that's what ends up on the screen. No player can make display information that isn't on the disc. THIS player can interpret a blue ray 4K disc and put all the info on the screen. ( I personally do not own a blue ray 4k disc as of yet, but all my dvds look good on my 4K TV.) There are no switches needed.....it's all thankfully done electronically. JSM

There's an icon for more apps, but I don't have the Internet hooked up to the player, so can't see anything else, as they don't load/show without the Internet. More generally, I'd describe this as a basic blu-ray player, but with the obvious advantage of player capability for DVDs and blu-rays from regions around the world. That's why I bought it. In that sense, it works very well.

Answer:	I'm not sure if its connects via USB - I usually connect all my blu rays players with HDMI cables as the quality is W A Y better. But one lesson I learned the hard way is that not all HDMI cables are the same. When you go to the store to pick up an HDMI cable they have cheap ones for 5 bucks and some that are like 40 bucks. Don't buy the cheap one!

Answer:	I could not at connect to Netflix the first time even though everything else worked. Turning player off and on eventually prompted a software download and upgrade over the internet. The machine restarted and Netflix worked perfectly from there.

Answer:	This is a 2015 model year blu ray. I personally own it and have no mechanical issues. But, if you like to see what's going on with the movie disk by way of a little lcd screen, eg... time elapsed or that the door is opening. This model does not have one. Not a big deal, but it matters to some. I do know some 2014 models have it. Idk about 2015.

Question:	Does Amazon and Netflix streaming work well with this device
Answer:	My experience is that it works fantastic. I have a 4K TV and I think the image is even sharper when I stream through the player instead of directly through the tv. Some things to keep in mind though...your internet bandwidth may cause spotty performance if you have a slower connection and/or many devices are fighting for the bandwidth at the same time but that isn't an issue with the player. I would definitely recommend this bluray!

Answer:	It's only an upscaler. In my opinion, unless your 4K tv has HDR, a 4K disc player wouldn't improve the picture much over this.I tried the 4K player from Samsung.The movies appeared a little sharper on my television but that's all. For my television, the BD-J6300 was fine.
Question:	I need to use the closed caption feature with Netflix and Amazon streaming. Does this unit have that feature
Answer:	Me, too! For others with this issue, here is amazon's list of compatible devices and features by brand and year: I made the unfortunate mistake a couple of years ago of purchasing a Blu-Ray device on amazon that didn't support CC of amazon prime streaming. :( Lesson learned! Always check the list of supported devices.

Question:	How many speakers will this unit support
Answer:	The answer depends on how you connect your equipment and what equipment you have. Also what type of disk you play and the audio encoding used on the disk you play. So not a black and white answer.According to page 13 of the manual if you use the BD player to decode, you will be only getting 2 ch. audio (main left and main right channel) if you set to PCM output (which is what is preset from the factory) using either HDMI or digital coax cable. Using Bitstream output AND HDMI cable AND additional compatible equipment to decode the audio you can get the best audio using DTS-HD and Dolby TrueHD which have 7.1 audio. Using only the BD player you can get good old DTS and Dolby Digital and 5.1 sound but you still need another piece of equipment to understand the DD or DTS encoding and "split" the signal to individual speakers.

Answer:	You will need an Ethernet cable. This model advertises as Wireless, but it will stop working after a few months and you will be left with only the Ethernet working for network connectivity. Samsung refuses to address this issue (read the 1 star reviews)!

Answer:	120V, the cord is permanently mounted not allowing for adapters etc. I believe this unit has been discontinued as well. Check samsungusa.com/support

Answer:	No. It doesn't record. It's a nice little machine but it doesn't have a display on the front either. If you want to see what track you're on or how many hours/ minutes have elapsed, you have to display it on the TV because the player doesn't have a display panel.
